All things was perfectly alright..... entire staff was any & all time ready to help, they never push any type of marketing

We stayed in Gorbandh Palace from 25.12.25 to 28.12.25 in Room No 117. It is a good & peaceful property. The allotted room was neat & clean, ‘Taj Hospitality’ was at its best, and the food was delicious (Italian, Oriental & Local cuisines were all good). The hotel staff was courteous, happy & friendly. Front desk was helpful & efficient we appreciate the assistance of Ms Yokhao. The food & beverage team was good & hospitable. We really appreciate the services & personal efforts of Mr Shyam, Mr Bhagwan, Mr Harshit, Mr Pratap & Ms Nonlih. The house keeping staff was also good & efficient. Thanks a lot for the hospitality. Hotel is clean and rooms are comfortable. Restaurant and cleaning staff are charming and eager to please.

The hotel is distant from the center of town and transportation is limited so best for people who have brought their own vehicles. Had to ask a few times for requests to be completed.

While the Taj name usually carries a guarantee of seamless luxury, my recent stay at the Taj Gorbandh Palace in Jaisalmer was a bit of a mixed bag. Despite the staff's kindness, several logistical and structural issues made the price point hard to justify. The Rooms: Space and Privacy Concerns Small Footprint: Unless you opt for a suite, the standard rooms are quite cramped. If you add an extra bed, the room becomes virtually unnavigable—there is almost zero walking space left. Balcony Disappointment: We paid a premium for a balcony room, only to find the balcony was tiny (roughly 2.5 x 2.5 ft), offering very little utility. Thin Walls: The soundproofing is nearly non-existent. Staying in Room 116, we could hear conversations from the neighboring room "loud and clear." Noise Levels: Since cultural events are held by the pool, don't expect to sleep before 10:00 PM if your room is located nearby. Check-in and Service Our check-in experience was particularly frustrating. Despite communicating with the hotel a week in advance regarding a flight disruption and an early arrival: We were made to wait while being told cleaning took exactly 1 hour and 28 minutes. Frustratingly, other guests who arrived after us were checked in immediately (the excuse given was a "different room category"). Note: To their credit, the staff did reach out post-check-in to attempt to make amends, and their demeanor was kind, but the initial inconvenience was significant. Dining and Amenities Limited Food Options: The dinner buffet felt very restricted. If you enjoy authentic, spicy Rajasthani flavors, you will likely be disappointed as the food is quite mild. Dining Tip: We actually found the In-Room Dining quality to be superior to the sit-down restaurant experience. The Pool: The pool area is very small—more for aesthetics than for actual swimming. Final Verdict The Taj Gorbandh Palace has a beautiful aesthetic, but it currently struggles with value for money. Between the cramped quarters, noise issues, and rigid check-in process, it didn't quite hit the mark for a luxury stay. It is a decent 3-star experience in a 5-star setting.

Beautiful Gorbandh Palace truly lives up to Taj hospitality. The welcome with marigold garlands and traditional drums was heart-warming, and the reception team was extremely gracious. A special thanks to Jayanti, the lady manager, who was outstanding—always welcoming us with a warm smile and personally checking on our stay. Heer and Suraj were equally wonderful; they gave us a detailed property tour, handled our luggage promptly, and made us feel completely at ease. The food was delicious, and the evening high tea was a lovely experience that brought everyone together. Thank you, Jayanti, for making our stay so memorable. True to Taj standards, the team is exceptionally well trained and delivers hospitality with warmth and care.♥️

Staff were excellent. 24 hour restaurant. We happy to upgrade us.

Flawless and very hospitable. Great check in , we also experienced gala dinner organized on Dec 24 which was complete wow. Great service

The hotel is gorgeous, great location, comfortable bed, and lovely food.

The restaurant and bar staff were unfortunately a bit of a letdown. It felt like we had to ask 3 or 4 times for some things before we got them, which is not what I expect from a hotel of the Taj caliber

our family was at Taj Gorband palace , Jaisalmer from 14th to 16th December to celebrate birthday and have a break from daily routine . The property is beautiful and staff is excellent ....They made everything possible to ensure that the stay is comfortable and memorable . We would like to specifically mention Mr Bhati from Front Desk . Restaurant Manager , Mr Pawan and our server for most part of the trip Ms Nonita .
