Comfort Inn & Suites Emporia

Rating: 6/10 Overall, the hotel was acceptable for a short stay. The room was clean, which is a definite plus. The heater worked quietly and maintained a comfortable temperature, making the stay pleasant. There were a few downsides. The bed linen was wrinkled, which affected the overall impression. In the bathroom, the body lotion bottle was empty, and the shower gel had been spilled and not cleaned up. Breakfast was advertised as a continental breakfast, but it was very limited. There were no fruits, and the overall selection was poor. Eggs were provided already peeled, which is not ideal — it would be better if they were served unpeeled. Overall, breakfast leaves much to be desired. In general, the hotel is fine for a short stay, but there is room for improvement.

I was stopping there to visit family but I woke up sick that morning. By the time we arrived in town Iwas feeling alot worse. I couldn't swallow & my head was pounding. My wife went in & asked if we could get a voucher for a nights stay when we come back in November & we were gonna stay for a few more nights then to. But we had to eat the $140.00 because Noone was willing to work with us. Ill never stay at a comfort inn or anything affiliated with it. Ill sleep in my truck before I do. I regret all the times my family & I have stayed at one knowing you just shit on your customers. Sorry but I could have came in myself around everyone being sick, but I was being considerate of your staff & guest. Didn't do me any good though did it.

The willing to work with a customer that had unfortunate events that happened.

There was a dog park nearby and breakfast was alright. First day there was a table to sit at outside in the shade. Second day it was removed.

Had a scheduled check in, arrived a little after the window, and employee was surprised to see us, said no rooms had been cleaned, and to check back later. An hour later still nothing. Another hour later (3pm, when all rooms should be cleaned by) they finally had a room ready. If they'd been honest and said "check is never before 3pm" it would've been better. Also, they apparently are under paying their staff as there was a request in the room to provide additional compensation.

The heater.

The heater, no matter what temperature you set it on it was really warm and didn't shut off unless you turned it off. I am always cold, so I like it warm, but I finally had to turn it off completely and then turn the AC on to keep it at a comfortable temperature.
