Best Western Wapakoneta Inn

Easy check in. Very clean and spacious room. Wonderful breakfast and very friendly staff.

Our stay was very nice. The hotel is only about a 5 minute drive from the downtown area. The service staff were so very friendly. The room was very clean and everything in the room was set in place very nicely. The cleaning staff gave us fresh towels each day, even though we did not need them. They did really amazing cleaning up and keeping everything neat. The parking lot was actually very clean as well. There was only one aspect of it that was not so savory. There was a man that had a room above us and came into the room later at night, around 10:30PM, and began running (or walking/pacing very fast) back and forth in the room until about 12:30am. We called the front desk and they went up and spoke with him, however, he continued to stomp in his room. I know that there really isn't anything you can do about that except ask them to stop.

I booked this as an overnight in the middle of a drive for a business meeting. In some ways, it really exceeded my expectations. In other ways, it fell short. First, the positives: all of the staff - from the lady who checked me in to the folks who cleaned the rooms - were very friendly and kind. The room was large, in good repair, and very clean. Even the coffee maker had been taken apart and cleaned! Good size towels, too - better than I might expect at this price. And, free bottled water in the fridge. Now, the disappointments: I booked thos hotel because it had a fitness room. (I was going to be doing a lot of driving and sitting the next day, so I wanted to get some exercise before I left). But, when I got there, I discovered that half the equipment was out of order, and it was full of broken furniture (see photos). So, not a lot of room for stretches. And, minor detail, but all four of the pillows were lumpy, which made it a little hard to get a good night's rest If you're not looking for a fitness center, I would recommend this hotel. But, if you are, you might want to try somewhere else.

We were able to walk across road to the Armstrong Air & Space Museum very easily. Seems new and nice, I do recommend it.

Very close to highway and (fast food) dining options, if that's your thing.

On the bestwestern.com web site there is a photo of a hot tub in the pool area. When we arrived after a 7 hr drive we went to the pool and found out there was no hot tub. Talk to hotel nothing they could do because I booked with Expedia. Unhappy customer.

This is my go-to reservation when going to this area… I stay in this hotel, at least 20 to 22 nights per year… I always feel like I am coming to stay with friends… The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and the staff is very accommodating for any needs that you may have… I highly recommend this hotel!!! you will not be disappointed!!!
