Ayres Suites Mission Viejo - Lake Forest

I WAS TURNED AWAY BECAUSE I WAS BLACK I came from Beverly Hills expecting to stay at the spa after confirming everything with Monica and another staff member. When I arrived, everything changed. They placed me in a completely different property (Ayres Hotel), which was not what I reserved or paid for. When I questioned it, they told me there were no rooms available at the spa. However, after leaving, I checked online and saw that rooms were clearly available. They had rooms—they just didn’t give me one. I was unable to reach a manager, and the staff gave inconsistent answers and excuses. The entire experience felt dishonest and discriminatory. This happened April 2–3 at Ayres Hotel & Spa Mission Viejo. Look at the photos I provided—this is not what I booked or agreed to. I want people to know what happened.

One of our favorite Ayres locations! It's conveniently located near the 241 toll road, shops and a wide variety of restaurants. The staff is friendly, breakfast is freshly cooked with a wide variety of options. Room was very clean and the beds were comfortable.

The breakfast was good: choices of eggs, sausage, bagel, toast, cereal, yogurts, coffee, tea, juice. Our room was spacious, very clean, and the bed and linen comfortable. Fluffy towels in the bathroom, and a tub with water jets was la surprise and welcome bonus. A big TV with a good selection of channels, along with a sink/bar area, with a refrigerator and coffee maker were appreciated. Free parking!!!!!!

Breakfast was sufficient. Staff was cordial. Room was OK.

Bathroom vanity was very small. Bed mattress was too soft. My back was hurting throughout the night.
