Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Fisherman's Wharf by IHG

The location, that is all.

Not sure if this is the norm, but paying almost $800 a night for a hotel and not getting basic amenities such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, or even complimentary bottled water came as a complete shock to me. I travel regularly and have stayed in hotels across different countries around the world. Never did I expect this level of service from a hotel at this price point. Imagine checking into a hotel and being told drinks are not provided. I called the front desk and the lady on the phone told me, "Drinks are only provided for IHG members." I was surprised to hear that, but fortunately, and quite coincidentally, yours truly happens to be a premium IHG member. So I informed her that I was indeed an IHG member. She then told me to head down to the front desk to collect my complimentary drinks. When I arrived at the front desk, I spoke to a rude f*t lady with long dark hair and told her I was there to collect my complimentary drinks. Without asking any questions or checking anything, she immediately reprimanded me and said drinks were not provided, that I could use the water cooler if I was thirsty, and that there was a vending machine upstairs. At that point, I had to explain that I had literally just been told by the front desk to come down because I was entitled to complimentary drinks as an IHG member. Without saying a single word, she turned around, walked into the back room, grabbed two bottles, came back, and slammed them down in front of me. What the f***? Throughout my trip in the United States, I experienced instances that made me feel unwelcome as a Singaporean Chinese visitor, and this interaction certainly did not help. Whether it was racism or not, I cannot say for certain, but I definitely felt I was treated differently from other guests. No toothpaste. No toothbrush. No complimentary water unless you specifically ask and happen to have the right membership status. Yup, that's this hotel for you.

The location was within walking distance to pier 39, Fishermans wharf and a cable car route .

Everything was satisfactory

Everting is worming and fresh jus change the menu two or three times a week.
