Covered Wagon Motel

There was a clunking sound like shoes in a dryer allllllll night long until about 5:30am that just didn’t stop. Cute place - been around a long time - but won’t ever choose to stay here again.

The rooms are dated, the a/c didn't work properly and although the manager did check in about the a/c all he said was "Maybe it takes more time to cool off." The hot tub was HOT, and felt great, but so much chlorine in it it burned eyes, and the pool was COLD. But, it was quiet. For the same $$$ I had already stayed in a Marriot Fairfield Inn and Suites that was excellent. But not same town. Be aware that not all the motels/hotels in a town are listed in Hotels.com, so you might be better off just going to a town and looking yourselves. That's the lesson I learned on this trip.

Very unique hotel. A blast from the past! Rom was clean and front desk staff friendly. Only complaint is that the rooms and towels were tired and dingy.

Clean motel rooms, nice area

Motel was super clean and well maintained. Young woman at the front desk was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Great breakfast. A charming little park-like area with covered wagon, outdoor seating, and carved statue (would be great for kids to run off some energy during a long road trip) attached to motel. Would definitely stay here again.

Have stayed here several times on my way to South Dakota. Always a solid choice that’s clean, courteous and convenient.

Staff was friendly. Main office was cute. Bedding was old and stained, but mattress was comfortable. The toilet was loose and had water leaking behind it. Cute motel but needs some updates

The employees were helpful. The room was quite large and very clean. We enjoyed the Continental breakfast before our departure. This was a great midway stopping point to our destination.
