Ramada by Wyndham & Suites South Padre Island

the door was hard to close ,the pool area was full of water and my 6 year old daughter slipped and hurt herself she has a big abrasion, there was no waste basket in the restroom, there wasn't a a soap to wash your hands in the sink ,the noise level at night was really loud we couldn't sleep well, the mattress looked dirty ,there wasn't an extractor in the restroom, there was people drinking outside the hotel rooms making alot of noise late at night, the floors were all wet and slippery and the walkway to the beach was very dirty and the smell from the trash cans was horrible and filthy.The sounds from the top floor were constant, very unsatisfied with our stay.

Loved the space of the room and how close it was to the beach breakfast was good.

There was roaches in the bathroom killed about 8 of them during our 4night stay i only saw them at night when I went to bathroom never during the day and only saw in the bathroom. This was a huge problem for me as I cant stand bugs.

I've stayed at this location before and it's always been a nice stay. This time it was miserable. The pool was over crowded and I couldn't even find a place to put my stuff down. There weren't enough towels in the room so I went to the front desk to ask for more. The gentleman asked if it was for the shower or the pool, I said both and he came back with several hand towels and 1 standard towel. Then the tv stopped working. My daughters didn't want to go out to eat so we were just stuck doing nothing and it was so uncomfortable. I finally went and checked out before 7pm. We didn't end up staying after all. The next morning I received an email reminding me to check out and such so I don't think the guy bothered checking us out. It was my birthday and it was absolutely miserable. I cried almost the entire way home.

The gentleman at the front desk was wonderful! Really great and efficient service. The TV was tricky but after I called for assistance they sent a really nice guy from maintenance up to show us what to do. The room was HUGE! It was a kitchen suite. We loved all the space. Everything worked in the room and it was very clean. We are definitely staying here again. Unbelievable value and excellent service provided by the staff.

Unfortunately the tree trimmers started with their chainsaws at 7am right out in front of our room to trim the palm trees. There was no sleeping in. Not any fault of the hotel, but whoever they hire for tree trimming service should wait until 8am at the very least. It was really annoying. After a night out and not having our kids we were really hoping to sleep in late.
