Courtyard Kansas City Overland Park / Convention Center

Stayed for a work trip, it was centrally located. But unaware from the website that there is a $10 a day charge and breakfast is not included. There are other options a couple blocks away where the breakfast is included. The biggest issue wasn’t the parking or no breakfast, it was the pictures from the site. That is not this hotel and my tub was dirty and the pillows just were gross. The wallpaper was peeling and the water was either scolding hot or cold. No in between. I would stay a block up the road in the future

The location of the hotel was good. It was by lots of good restaurants and close to amenities.

The hotel management have attitudes when you ask for things. We had a disabled family member with us and they failed to tell us that accessibility rooms did not have pull out couches, so we had to get a different room. Once in that room, the accessibility aspects such as a shower seat wasn't there and the shower didn't work properly. The fridge also froze our food which it made harder for our disabled family member to eat. Also, when you book on a website you have to search for the clause that says you have to pay your own parking, $10 per night which is absurd for how expensive the hotel already is. No free breakfast, which is just the icing on the disappointment cake. For how expensive this hotel is, it's completely ridiculous that they have these problems that I would expect from a roadside motel.

That area and that room. The first room was dirty wallpaper coming off. Someone wrote on wall it was cover with paint that didn’t work to well. In all I was shocked. However they did move me. I would not be staying there again sad to say. Born and raised in KC so I do go home often and this was the first I had a room like this especially in the Overland Park area. More upscale. Furniture was VERY old. Open door and they had dirty things on top of the clean towels and linens. Wow really

Girls basketball game fun!

Liked the moderness of the lobby and decor. Didn't like how guests had to pay to park. But it was a reasonable amount.

It was nice and quiet

Every year I bring my severely autistic nephew to the Marriott for his bday party cause he loves this hotel. He is now 18 and still wants to come!! Every year the front desk person Corey is the most accommodating person to us as my nephew can be loud at times. Corey is kind and always interacts with my nephew and makes him feel so special!! Corey is definitely the heart of Marriott and I thank him so much for making my nephews birthday the best ever again this year!! Also hotel as always was clean and beds were comfortable! Highly recommend!!
