Day's End Motel

We live an hour from Wisconsin Dells. Every year we like to head to the Big Sky Drive-in Theater there. We used to make the drive home right after the second show but as we've gotten older we have found we need a place to stay for the rest of the night so we don't fall asleep on the drive home. LOL! Day's End Motel fit the bill perfectly. We stayed in the single Queen room which was clean, cozy and simple but contained all the amenities we may have needed. It had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker with coffee, bathroom with shower (+ soaps,etc.), table with chairs, a/c unit with fan, thermostat for heat control, tv, comfortable queen bed, etc. Everything was tidy and kept in good order. Would definitely recommend highly.

The room was small but that was ok seeing as we were only in it to sleep. The bed in our room was uncomfortable. Someone did come to the room in the morning to see if we needed anything, that was awesome! Easy access to the bar across the street and not far from the strip!

The room was very clean and service was good and fast. The satellite TV did not work and the bed box spring had a broke spring. I'm 6 feet and the bathroom was a little small.

We have know idea how the stat was. My daughter and husband was not able to stay there because the drive was to far.

Lady at the front desk was excellent and took the time to go over cool stuff to do at the dells and made me feel welcome. The hotel is about 3 miles from the dells but well worth the drive for the price and very quiet place to relax.

VERY nice place, with very nice owners. We encountered a minor technical difficulty with one room, which was fixed the next day, but rather than making us wait, the owners just gave us a different room right away! Wonderful service! I will say you can hear through the walls (which, let's be honest, is a trait shared with pretty much every hotel/motel), and no smoking in the rooms so they let you smoke outside the rooms (someone in the room next door was a smoker and we could smell it when we used the heater a bit). BY NO MEANS are these deal breakers, especially at the nice price! Great stay!

The room met our needs and was very clean. We definitely thought the cleanliness of the room and of the property in general was the strongest benefit. We appreciated the microwave and fridge in the room. The owners seemed to take care of the property, just not the newness of some larger hotels. Our only complaint would be it was hard to stay connected to the wifi during our stay. If you are wanting to stream a show from your ipad or use a computer, etc you would want to be aware of this. For the price, we would definitely stay here again.

It's a traditional style motor court motel that has been restored with loving care.
