Hampton Inn Seaford

Newly remodeled.

Had a one night stay and property was clean with an updated room. Only negative is Bathroom door is a sliding door with a large gap between the wall so there is no privacy when in the bathroom if staying with other people.

Has been remodeled in the last year. Its a convenient stop over from our trip from upstate NY to OBX.

Location, clean, friendly staff.

The stay was was a little pricey for 2 nights.

NOISY- the street noise is pretty bad! I've stayed at other hotels that are situated next to a busy road and it wasn't too bad. This was pretty bad- very thin outer walls and windows ROOM COULD BE CLEANER- There were footprint marks on our walls and the light switch plates were dirty. If those areas were unclean, I wonder what else in our room was not clean? FRONT DESK- We arrived at 8pm and the front door was locked, so we called to be let in. Honestly, this was a good thing because the area was a bit shady (there was a car doing donuts in the lot next to the hotel) and the outside is not very well lit). The strange thing is, the front desk employee had her son with her. I understand that situations and emergencies happen, but I don't think any places that have front-facing customer service positions bring their kids to work??????? It was strange and pretty awkward- does the hotel supervisor know this? BREAKFAST- breakfast offerings were standard hotel breakfast fare (make your own waffles, premade eggs, carbs, yogurt etc. What was surprising was the lady who helped that morning- my daughter had a hard time with the waffle machine, and the lady grabbed the handle of the machine from her!!! She did not speak much English at all and was RUDE! Overall, it was fine for a quick night stay. The hotel is refurbished but you can't do anything about its location. Would I stay here again....NO I think I would stay further out towards Lewes Sadly, the Hilton name is only concerned about their higher premier hotels and don't really take care of the budget hotels that most families book.

Our stay was comfortable and the staff was excellent. The cleaning staff found one of my son's toys after we had already left and they called and arranged to have it mailed to us. Very kind and appreciated!
