The room was clean & the bed was comfortable, clean bathroom, Continental breakfast was satisfactory. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I will stay here again.

A hot breakfast would have been better than cereal, coffee, fruit juice, & pastry. But that wouldn't stop me from staying here again.

It's always very clean and comfortable.

There is some noise from trains but that doesn't bother me.

Price was reasonable

Very good shape for a motel that is at least 40 years old

This is an older property that has been updated. The husband and wife that own/manage this property are very friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to make sure that you have everything you need. My room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower has great water pressure!! There were enough outlets to accommodate my CPAP machine. When I inquired about the pet policy I found out that they do allow pets in some rooms for a small fee, so I can bring my 2 small dogs next time. This property is close to downtown, restaurants, gas stations, Walmart and is under 4 miles from the Kansas Veterans Home.

My stay was very enjoyable. The only thing I can suggest is that they update their in room and online information,(that says pets in smoking rooms only.) They no longer have smoking rooms, but they have some rooms for travelers with pets. The only ice machine is on the 2nd floor, and the in room info says there is ice on the first floor. When I asked for the location of the ice machine, the owner/manager insisted on getting it for me since it's on the 2nd floor. He not only brought me ice, but also brought me a Coke. (The local McDonald's was out of Coke and Dr. Pepper...now THAT'S another story! I should mention that there is an active rail line nearby. I only heard trains before 10 pm.
