Great stay for our reunion!

This place is close the to bars and homecoming parade route. Long walk from the stadium but there's a free shuttle from Harpo's. Access from the shared public parking garage involves a maze of hallways and elevators (which one was out of order during part the weekend. You can access the parking garage on the Hilton Honors app digital key but you'll need keycard if you try to exit the parking garage after checkout time. Could not adjust the thermostat to turn on the AC during an usually hot late September weekend since the windows don't open like most modern hotels. Like many other hotel TVs, I could not turn off motion smoothing on the TV that makes many programs look like soap operas, also could not adjust other picture settings on the TV. Minifrige a little small and could not find a temp control. Desk chair did not have armrests. Small elevator gets crowded since it's shared with the rooftoop bar. Access to upper floors requires keycard or Hilton Honors digital key on the app, this adds a layer of security but requires you to go to front entrance for Doordash or Grubhub orders, also gives unfair advantage to hotel's restaurant for room service.

Great breakfast

Consistently bad customer service across the board. I have been to the roof top in the past and had great experiences. The views and the location are why we chose to stay here, and were very excited we were able to get a room for Mizzou-ku week. Came in Friday night and went to the rooftop where there were 50-60 people included us decked out in Chiefs gear. They didn't let anyone know until about 10 minutes before kickoff that they weren't going to have the game. Frustrated that they could have done better with notifying everyone who was wearing red for the game they had no intention of getting the game, but understood because it was a streaming service they didn't carry. We scrambled and made our way down to the Penguin and had a good time. Next morning I go out to the car and when I come in I see they have signage that they will be serving brunch until 2. I go to the front desk, I ask the young man will brunch be here at the lobby bar or upstairs on the rooftop, his reply "I don't know." There was no offer to go ask someone who may or not know. So I go up to the rooftop to see it is locked. A little later while having breakfast in the lobby we wait 15 minutes to get service. Our waitress was friendly, but clueless. Consistently waited on water and coffee and if we asked for anything extra, ie. more butter it was never delivered. She would bring one of us coffee or water, but not everyone at one time. Took 1:15 to eat breakfast. Food was good, but service was awful. NOW for the best part. We go back to the roof top after the MIZZOU win! We are sitting at the bar, we have a great/super nice bartender and our group and others are all having fun. We have chairs at the bar and are waiting for our food. Someone, who doesn't identify himself demands our chairs. Doesn't ask us to re-locate, tells us to give him our chairs. We simply tell him no. The people around us asked what was going on and I said, "some a--hole just demanded we give him our chairs and told us we have to move." A different bartender comes over to me then and says you can't call me that! I said I didn't, he said if you called one of my staff that you are calling me that aggressively. He told us we had to get out of our chairs so they had the bar space for customers to order drinks. They already had 15'+ of bar space available and only 2 bartenders working. I told him we had ordered food and would gladly give up the space after we ate. The aggressive bartender was obviously the supervisor. They very intentionally kept the food back in the kitchen until it was cold. We saw other getting food that had ordered after us. Our good bartender comp'd us for the food, we paid our tab for our drinks and tipped him well. I will not stay or play at this location again. I am a huge Mizzou fan and a Hilton Honors member, I have a freshman at the school, and they got the last $ they will ever get from me. I do believe it is a management problem, as customer service does not seem to be a priority.
