One thing that didn't make sense to me was that I could pay for the accommodation online using my card and there was no need for me to be physically present to sign it, but once I got to my accommodation, I had to physically sign an agreement to pay for any costs/ damages/ etc that may be caused during my stay. Why does one payment (for the accommodation) not need my signature but another payment (the guarantee to pay for damages etc) need my signature?
