Loved the whole vibe!

I've stayed there several times in the past, and this was a disappointment. The lighting in the room was so dark I couldn't see to turn on the microwave or read a book I'd brought. I wished I'd asked for a room with at least grab bars near the shower. I missed having an ice-maker on the floor (6), and I recall having a small breakfast available. I knew to expect the trains, but noise from a group of teenagers with rooms on my floor being very loud in the hallway till midnight. I came close to asking for a room on another floor, but didn't want to move at that point. I understand that Marriott has bought the facility, so I hope improvements are made in the future.

Great location…many restaurants within easy walking distance; extremely friendly staff. Some rooms very musty(AC vents super moldy). Dim lighting. Uncomfortable beds and pillows. If downtown Bryan had a newer hotel, I am pretty sure my friends and I would meet there instead.

Location was great and historic hotel and downtown buildings was part of the charm. Staff was friendly and price was reasonable. Beds were comfortable. Lacking in providing modern appliances, including small and cheap TVs and room needed attention to quality. Loved the bar and courtyard seating right off the downtown sidewalks. Restaurants nearby were walkable with good selection and food. Overall a great experience and will visit again.

Such a cute room with a neat experience. Room was very cozy and the bed was super soft. The staff was amazing and very helpful. Loved being so close to so many restaurants. Neat atmosphere for sure. We will be back!

The historic hotel and New Orleans vibe was awesome! Great bar and the Speakeasy was an great surprise. The staff was very friendly.

We loved being on Main Street in downtown Bryan. It was easy to walk to places to get breakfast. The hotel is quaint and the staff is very friendly. The beds are comfortable and the room was clean. We'd stay here again!

Beautiful hotel in downtown Bryan, Texas. The room was very clean and extremely comfortable. A train does pass by from time to time but it was tolerable. As a frequent traveler, we know what to look for so the stay was worth the cost. Loved my experience.

We loved the experience. Attendants and Receptionists were friendly and room was nice and clean. Bar downstairs was full of character, good drinks and service. This is an historic hotel and with that in mind, I guess I shouldn't have expected it to be to par with modern hotels in terms of design and technology. However, TV was a small and inexpensive model and ours did not operate properly and the remote function was limited. Had to make three visits to the receptionist for assistance before some functionality was restored. This was frustrating after a long day. Power outlets were minimal and in order to use coffee maker and microwave, Other cords would have to be removed from the outlet. (ie, TV, cable modem and minifridge) Bathroom didn't have an exhaust fan and was not supplied with glasses for water. The window shade needed replacement. The shade was not mechanically fastened to the top so when accidentally pulled too far, shade fell off. On a positive note, there were plenty of towels, nice hot showers, comfortable beds and ac worked exceptionally well. Definitely a great environment to stay in with great restaurants, bars and shops all within walking distance and a calm relaxed downtown, with style. Will stay again, but hope for some attention from the ownership to upgrading some of the rooms accommodations for the price-point paid.
