Baymont by Wyndham Thomasville

No breakfast was available and when I pointed out the eggs and sausage had all been eaten by 7 am, I was told 7 mins and there would be refills. 20 mins later cold eggs were served and no sausage was ever provided. I asked again and was told maybe later there would be more.

Booked a room for three people with two double beds and upon arrival at 4pm I was told by the front desk that they overbooked the rooms and only had a room with one king bed. I told them I booked and needed two beds. All the other hotels in the area were full so my wife son and I had no choice but to share a bed. I'm 6'1" 255 and my son is 5'9" 170lbs so it was less then ideal. This should never happen in my opinion. Also had some small roaches in the room. Saw two that were alive and one that was dead which was kind of a turn off.

Overall, decent place for the money and being dog friendly. Nothing fancy, but priced right.

Affordable price.

They never fail to make my stay pleasurable. They always welcome my service dog. The staff does what they can to make us feel welcome. We stay here every visit. It's a quite place in the middle of town. The rooms are great shape and the restrooms are nice and clean.

Nice pet friendly property but they should have told me in advance that I would have to pay an extra $25 per night per pet. Seems like bait and switch to me..

I enjoyed my stay.

Everyone on staff was very friendly and helpful. Some other soap than Irish Spring would be nice. Also cut the bagels in half for toasting. (Breakfast). More towel racks in the bathroom would be great. Room was clean.

Positive was the property was close to the family we were visiting. The cost per night was reasonable. Especially due to other chain hotels charging exorbitant prices because of college sports . Negative was our room, reserved a month in advance was given to my husband’s brother 20 minutes before we arrived and we were told there were no more rooms. The brother’s reservation was cancelled because he did not show up the day before when his reservation was to begin. The manager, Jen, only looked at the last name and did not correctly verify ID. We ended up in the only available room, a handicap room, with 2 double beds, not the one we paid for and reserved. Management did discount the room, we had to stay in because they knew they screwed up and the brother refused to give up our reserved room. A lousy visit. Meg
