The location is excellent especially if you have a car as there is a car park

Building works going on. Thankfully they didn’t start until 9am however the builders were talking outside our room from 8am onwards. They continued until 6pm at night. A heads up when booking would have been welcomed Our room was not cleaned, apparently we should have been asked when we checked in but we weren’t. We were also locked out, both sets of gates were padlocked upon our return on Monday evening. We had to ring the reception to get someone to help us and when they did eventually work out what the padlock number was ( took about 15 mins from start to finish, the was a cursory sorry then they walked ahead of us. A complimentary drink or something along those lines would have been a welcomed as as sign that this was an inconvenience to us

Background music was superb. Staff excellent. Also food, drink and location.

Excellent hotel. Room and attention to detail exceeded my expectations. Staff were outstanding.

However, the hotel did not mention at any point during the booking process that there are currently builders on site doing work to the courtyard area so there was some significant noise up to 7pm in the evening.

Beautiful setting, close to centre, friendly staff, very good breakfast to order.

Pleasant and comfortable. The air-con was an absolutely marvellous surprise. Lovely staff and perfect location.
