Courtyard by Marriott Sacramento Midtown

Very quiet area, beds were great, room was clean.

Lots of construction around the area.

This property was extremely convenient for surgery UC Davis.

There was nothing not to like. The staff in particular are so helpful!

Clean and friendly and accomodating

Our son lives 6 minutes away, so the location was great. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and competent.

I must have left my phone charger in the room as we left because I didn't have it when I returned home. I spoke with a nice staff person that evening and she said she'd notify Housekeeping and that I'd get a call back the next morning. I had told her that my son could come a pick up the charger. No one called the next day. I called the day after and left a message with Housekeeping. Again, no call back. I was very surprised about that lack of service. Even if the charger was not found, I should have had a call back. We will NOT go back to this Marriot. Upon returning late after an event with our son, there was no hotel parking available. The back lot is shared with the Medical Center and signs indicated No Hotel Parking. We took our chances and didn't have a ticket the next morning.

The stay I had at this hotel will be the reason I read hotel reviews in the future, no matter the brand! Upon arrival I was “greeted” by someone who looked as if I’d walked into their living room and disturbed their peace. Given the location, I can’t imagine why the developers skimped out on sound-proofing the building. After a long day of traveling across time zones and being dead tired, my first night there was interrupted by a loud garbage truck AND loading trucks directly outside my window. This also happened each weeknight that I was there. They need airport-style noise cancellation windows and walls. I should not have to request a room change for a peaceful nights sleep *at a hotel brand like Marriott* There was a toenail underneath a towel stored under the sink. The first time I attempted to eat at the lobby cafe, I stood there for no less than five minutes being greeted by no one. An employee even went to the back (kitchen area) where the counter clerk was and apparently didn’t tell them someone was waiting. They were just back there laughing. If you’re visiting the Sacramento area just find a different place to stay.
