Baymont by Wyndham Marshfield

This hotels pool has been ordered out of service since 8/13/24. Not really a good business model IMO

Place was a mess. No one was at the front counter to check us in and the pool was not operational as it had all kinds of boxes and other hotel items inside of it. Wanted to stay because of the pool, but we canceled as soon as we walked through the front door.

Pool was closed which kinda sucked but other than that everything was great

Location was good.

The pool couldn't be used it had been down for a while bye the state I'm guessing and wasn't notified before hand and they only had two double beds for 4 people.

Breakfast was your standard continental breakfast.

Breakfast ends at 9:00. Not knowing that I got there at 9:10 and the door was locked. I thought it was my key card (still not knowing it ended at 9:00.) A staff that was cleaning up in there and let me in. He was very nice and said I could eat. I just wanted a cup of oj and maybe a banana or apple. But there was no fruit. To be fair, maybe it was put away already?

The staff was unfriendly not helpful. Waited for someone to come from somewhere to check us in as the owner or manager sat in the lobby talking on his phone. Didn't offer any extra conversation about area or wifi password or where to park or where room eas located. Very disappointed that the name Wyndham was on this property as it did not live up to name.

The room smelled bad. It was scary because we were the only ones there for hours. Need friendlier staff that are helpful. THE POOL WAS NOT WORKING AND according to reviews I read after checking in , it has not been working for many months. This was disappointing. Will never stay there again. Do not recommend it.

To say this was a terrible experience would be an understatement. This is a list of everything that made it unacceptable. I have pictures too if you’d like. - [ ] Shower dirty - [ ] Pool closed to public health violation since August 2024, never mentioned this on the phone so I didn’t know - [ ] mirror nasty hazed over - [ ] Shower curtain had dirt spots on it but even worse was brown and crusted hard at the bottom - [ ] Fridge smelled like beer - [ ] Tv did not work - [ ] Holes in dresser - [ ] No working bathroom fan - [ ] No control over heat/cooling and unit in room didn’t work (yes I checked to see if it was plugged in) - [ ] Only 2 towels in bathroom On top of all the icky I felt, when I went to book online, my total was 101.00 it wasn’t taking my card so had to call hotel. He said that must have been a promo (I was on the actual way dim baymont marshfield site because I double checked). They wouldn’t honor that price and charged me 165.00. My friends that called two minutes before me paid 110.00. I was hoping my dumpy room was a fluke. It the two other friends who stayed here had rooms that were just as bad. I really hope that you interview and hold this location to a higher standard because at this point there is no way I could get myself to stay at another baymont or Wyndham hotel any time soon until I’m assured you hold hotels from your chain accountable.
