SureStay Hotel by Best Western Manning

I am sad to write this review as I have always enjoyed stays at Best Western. We could not get out of there fast enough. We arrived at almost 8 p.m. after several hours of driving. When we got to the room, we saw they had placed us in a room with one bed instead of the 2 queen beds from our reservation. I called the front desk and the gentlemen said their system said king bed. I went to the office and showed him my reservation. I also saw that I was being charged about $30 more than my reservation. He called his manager and the manager said they were booked and there was nothing they could do except I could check out without penalty. What?? I asked to at least be given the rate I booked with and they advised me to call customer relations. After a few days of calls, I never heard back but there was a credit on my credit card, but no concession for the error. In addition, until after 1 a.m. there were people yelling outside, sitting in chairs outside their rooms and it was so rowdy. At 1:30 a.m., the room phone rang and someone was trying to get me to give them my credit card number to issue a partial refund. I refused and they told me to pack my bags and leave. I hung up and called the front desk and the night auditor said that must have been someone playing a prank. Once again, What?? We got NO sleep, did not feel safe, and left before 8 a.m. Such a bad experience and bad customer service from those who could have easily righted a wrong.

The rooms were clean and the breakfast was great.

When I arrived I was given different information then what I was told by phone regarding the deposit.

I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and nice the rooms were. The bed was also comfortable.

Very close to highway 95. Room was clean. Front desk staff quick and knowledgeable. I liked the vanity being separate from shower. Allows 2 people to use bathroom at the same time.

Breakfast ran out before we had a chance to eat eggs and other things, like bagels.

Nothing bad to say at all. After traveling for 12 hours in bad traffic from NJ it was nice to relax for a night. Slept so well forgot where I was.

Our room was on the ground floor as we requested, There were several groups of young men loitering around the room and parking lot cursing and drinking. We were frightened and upset by the language and size of the group hanging outside our room. We went to the manager to request a room change, no rooms available. We asked for a refund from the manager which we got and left. MANAGER COMMENTS " Oh they are just boys", They have been here before they are OK" We will never return to this hotel
