Travelodge by Wyndham Shreveport LA

Got to hotel at 11 pm to be told that email was sent at 6pm stating reservation was cancelled but I never received anything last email was after 830pm saying room was confirmed

No room nor notified of cancellation after driving there

Nothing

They didn’t refund my money for one night that I canceled my reservation

Manager is not truthful. We requested a pet friendly room when the reservation was booked as we at last minute had to bring a 7 lb & 11 lb dog with us. When we checked in they put us in a ‘pet room’, which is appropriate. The room was completely basic with no ‘do not disturb’ sign, no in room coffee or any amenities. All tv channels were static. The door latch was loose and hard to close. The keys quit working and had to be rescanned. There was a live roach and a large dead palmetto bug in the bathroom. The tub was poorly cleaned with multiple hairs visible. Not sure about sheets, I slept on top of covers. I did tell the front desk about these issues. I was also directed to the gas station next door for coffee. I had seen reviews about issues with deposits, so I asked about them when we checked in. I was told both pet & general deposits would be returned if no damage. When we checked out, I went to the front desk and spoke with the manager, an older man possibly from India. I asked for someone to check the room so I would be assured of my deposit return. He declined to do so but said once housekeeping confirms no damage BOTH deposits will be returned. To be clear, the male dog was in a dig diaper and the spayed female is pad trained, but did not use the pad I left down because we took them both out at least once an hour when we were in the room. We never left them unattended in the room. I did get one $40 deposit processed about 10 days after we checked out but not the other. I waited a few days then called. I was told pet deposits are not refundable. I explained what I outline above, and ‘Jenny’ said she would check and call me back, which she did. She was told no on pet deposit. I repeated above again and asked to speak with mgr. She said to call after 3. I called but he wasn’t available so she took my name & number again. No call that day or next so I called again the following day. Again they took my name & number. Still no return call at this time. Avoid this gross hotel!! Definitely NOT even remotely Wyndham standard.

Location and the toilet was a little loose and the bathroom door didn't shut all the way

Had a very good experience I have noticed they are doing a lot of renovating making a big difference the rooms are so much better they're cleaner the atmosphere is better you feel safe when you're there now had been here before and have people hang out all over the place but they don't allow that anymore I'm glad and when I checked in very nice lady Miss Yvonne I think that's her name super friendly got me checked in and in my room quickly then called and checked on me a lot of people say this is a three-star hotel but the people here make you feel like you're in a five star definitely definitely try out Travelodge great place to stay when you need to get away

Wasn't any of that but some of the stuff there are so nice in very helpful luv them

The false advertisement how they do things for the room I mean we never every hardly see our bed be change that's not a A+ at all

Enjoyed my stay room was peaceful and room actually looked like the pictures online what even put the icing on the cake was the great customer service from Mr Smith he made me and my wife feel welcomed rm#216 checking out will definitely come back
