Quality Inn Decherd - Winchester

Overall good stay. I would rate higher if the pillows would have been better. Room was nicely updated and had everything we needed. Great location.

I have travelled all over the United States. This has by far been the worst experiences I’ve ever had. The room was sticky feeling. It was dark inside the room. There was one “towel” which by most standards is considered a kitchen towel. There was a wad of hair in the corner next to the tub as if they cleaned the drain and threw it there. The microwave was plugged into the outlet on the lamp. The security latch was attached for the trim around the door which wouldn’t keep anyone out had they tried to come in. We dropped our luggage and went to dinner, came back two hours later and the door was cracked open. There were guys upstairs with their door open and music playing walking around drinking beer and trying to make passive aggressive conversation. This establishment is not for anyone with children or anyone who wants a safe quiet, clean, secure, location to sleep. We were so concerned for our safety we booked another room in Murfreesboro which is 50 minutes away for only 50 dollars more and it was extremely nice. We did not even attempt to complain, short of tearing the building down and rebuilding it, there wasn’t anyway to make it worth staying there.

I was charged full price when I had a REWARDS night applied. I was put in a smoking room & I don’t smoke. Yesterday I called & was told they provided a night free of charge but I have charges on my bank account ~ I need to confirm accounting today. I did not have time for this chaos & still sorting it out. I am very unhappy with the Hotel chaos.

We would not stay at this hotel again. It was not clean, the breakfast was very marginal, and several other minor issues.

The room was not clean. There were spider webs in the corners and spiders in the bathroom abd vabity area. The room was not clean overall. Our telephone was broken. Thank goodness our cell phobes were charged. The remote wiuld not work to turn tv on, off or raise/lower the volume. On the first night we had the most minimal linens..not even a hand towel. The sink and shower did not want to drain well. We went to breakfast the furst morning...the person at the desk seemed to be doing checkout and the breakfast area. It was awful! The eggs were obviously there for a long while and hardly any left, the biscuits were literally hard, and I didn't even think about sausage. If you wanted cereal, there was only a partial 1/2 gallon of milk, and the coffee was lukewarm. The waffle maker was either not working ir was empty. The clerk was not sure which. There was not any sanitizer ir disposable gloves for customers which was concerning with the previous customer coughing and then getting food. I looked over and the wall filter was grossky filthy. We left without eating fir both mornings and went somewhere to eat. It was unbelievable!

The bed was over soft, which some people do like. It is very quiet as it sits back off the road. Walking distance to Kroger or a couple of restaurants. The biggest downside to the stay?? NO GRAVY for the biscuits in the morning. They have the other food sitting in the warmers but no gravy. Our microwave was broken, but the staff did let us use the one behind the counter for my wife to heat her lunch.
