Days Inn by Wyndham Bellville Mansfield

Prime example of “don’t judge a book by its cover”. I booked here because it had good ratings. I usually would rather not stay at an older style hotel (my preference), but with the rating and price point, I booked the hotel. WOW! I would 100% stay here again. One of the most comfortable hotel stays I have had in a while. One of those “whoa who/what/where/when am I I slept so hard” sleeps. Quiet, clean and seamless stay. Every staff member I met was super friendly and you also get continental breakfast! Oh and the rainfall shower is a plus too.

Making the reservation on-line for its proximity to the Mid-Ohio Race Course, I thought actual site looked a bit blah, but I was pleasantly surprised by friendly and welcoming staff and room comfort. My thought was it was another brand of motel before it became a Wyndham, remodeled perhaps within a year or so? Outdoor area could use some love but fairly clean. We got a first-floor room and parking spot at our door, always good (two floors but no elevator). Room was spacious and very clean, with a very comfortable bed, good linens and towels, micro-fridge, desk and chair. Responsive HVAC. No in-room coffee but always available in the lobby. Bathroom was roomy, separated from sleeping area by a barn door, huge mirrors on both sides. Bedside lamps and USB ports. Excellent water pressure, and hand-held shower wand was a plus in addition to rain-style shower fixtures. Good lighting, hair dryer, iron, plenty of towel hooks. Housekeeping is optional and we just switched out towels after first night. TV access by Roku which we don't prefer but not a deal-breaker. Basic continental breakfast with three kinds of bagels and a waffle iron that allowed for individual portions, a very nice touch. Access to fuel, shopping, dining and highways is easy. Despite full occupancy both nights, the place was quiet even so close to the highway.
