We stopped here for one night traveling through Iowa back home. Easy access right off 35 and right next to gas station. Super clean and nice facilities. Small pool, but clean. Great breakfast options. Comfy beds. Ames was a nice town with lots of food options. Would definitely stay here again!

"Disappointing stay for an Holiday Inn Express."

Location. Convenient off the highway.

I was traveling with my elderly mother and family. I booked 3 rooms. Our rooms air conditioning was broken. The place was sold out so there was nothing we could do. When we returned from the concert at 12:30 at night, the elevator was broke. My mother is disabled and typically rides in a wheelchair because of her legs. The attendant on site said it couldn’t be fixed until morning and there was not another option. Because they were sold out we could not switch to a first floor room. She had to walk to the 2nd floor which was extremely difficult but we made it. I’m just not sure how this was ADA compliant. Response for both issues were not very consumer oriented or frankly helpful.

Very nice place. Bed was very comfortable and the shower was strong pressure. Breakfast as delicious. Would definitely stay again and I recommend this hotel. Staff was super friendly!

"No flexibility - good breakfast"

Staff providing the breakfast was friendly and attentive to guest's needs. We had a change in the number of our guests 24 hours before arrival and the hotel would not accommodate our request to adjust to 1 room instead of 2. I would encourage you to re-consider with future guests needing this accommodation.
