Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Milwaukee Downtown

The bathroom layout was odd. In order to stand in front of of the sink, the toilet was right behind you. Tricky navigation. There was no toilet paper holder

The evening staff was phenomenal, some of the friendliest I have talked to in the 30 years I have travelled.

This place was amazing! Friendly front desk staff, great free breakfast every morning, free popcorn, cookies and water all day, staff was knowledgeable about the surroundings and clean rooms! Only problem we had was parking. This was not the hotels fault but city of Milwaukee. Parking is hard and expensive. All they have are lots and parking garages and it gets expensive. Don't rent a car. They have plenty of transit options and shuttles at bars! Lyft and Uber were fine.

The hotel is clean enough and in a great location. The staff is really nice and the breakfast is okay. It worked for what we needed it for (staying for one night while seeing a concert) but the building is pretty old and the door to our room was jammed so we’d have to scan our key card a bunch of times and force it open. That was pretty annoying.

We originally stayed at the Springhill Suites around the corner. We were in town for the Irish Festival. We woke up on Saturday morning in the Springhill Suites to a water main break and we had no water. Springhill had made no arrangements to house their guests. We are Marriot Bonvoy members and a quick call got us accomodations at this hotel. The staff was fabulous. They were kind enough to allow to to immediately check-in so we could shower and start our day. They gave us a late check-out on Monday for a late flight. Everything went great because the staff cared about us as guests.

Room was fine, very small. The bathroom condition was very bad. The ceiling was cracking in a bad way, had some very obvious water damage. The vents are extremely loud. The first time we opened the door, I basically had to kick the door in to get it to open.
