The Ummed Ahmedabad Airport

We stayed at The Ummed Ahmedabad for a transit night with our family, including two small kids, and left thoroughly impressed. Having known that this property was once under Taj management, I was curious to see if the standards had been maintained — and I’m delighted to say they absolutely have. The warmth, attention to detail, and genuine care for guests remain very much alive here. A special mention must go to Shahid at the front office — a true hospitality professional. He went above and beyond by upgrading our stay at no extra charge and even arranged a complimentary airport drop in a comfortable Innova car. That kind of thoughtful, proactive service is rare and truly memorable. The buffet dinner was a pleasant surprise — good variety and quality, very much enjoyable for the whole family. I liked the pani puri the most. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and extremely comfortable, making it a great choice even when travelling with young children. The location is a huge bonus for transit travelers, as it is just 5 minutes from the airport. Even though our visit was brief, The Ummed Ahmedabad has firmly earned its place as my first choice every time I’m in the city. Highly recommended for families and transit guests alike!

It was on 10 May 2026 that we had a dinner at Kesar at hotel Ummed in Ahmedabad. I went there with my wife, daughter and son in law and also with my young grand daughter. It was double occasion of celebration as it was mother's day (attended by two mothers; my wife and daughter who is also now mother of a baby girl. We were well attended by the staff before and during the dinner. We were provided complimentary cake, buttermilk and kachoris before the dinner. Throughput we were attended very well with promptness and also conceding to our special requests with reference to my only 3 months old grand daughter. Food was as usual, very good but because of complimentary items we could not do justice with that so staff helped us carrying the left out food at home in beautiful paper bag. The food was in good shape and we enjoyed it next day when it tasted even better. Staff also took our photographs which we forgot to collect. On being reminded, they sent them promptly to us through what's app same have been attached here. Thanks everyone to make our dinner a pleasant and also a memorable event as usual as we often go there for our family gatherings and celebrations
