Spark By Hilton Oak Forest I-57

Limited options for someone with food allergies, bed was comfortable but room was hastily remodeled. Drywall dust everywhere, bathroom sink p trap not connected, shower curtain rod was moved and had wet drywall mud still in the patches, lock on door was hanging off. No one at desk for 10 minutes upon arriving, had to go ask for towels. Ice machine was broken and the one on the lower level was moldy. Pool was hot, hot tub out of order. For the price it was ok, room was just slapped together and not properly cleaned after construction.

No bread to make toast. Just bagels.

Travelled across the country by car (LA to NY) and this was the worst hotel on the trip. Best western recently converted into a Hilton spark. Grim grim grim. Franchisee that gives Hilton a bad name. No EV chargers although shown on website. Water bottle filler did not work!! So no water unless you purchased it. Luggage cart was falling apart, had to push the top bar back in so it didn’t fully fall apart and had rusty screws sticking out. Elevator hardly fit the cart in. Pictures not put up on walls, just left leaning on walls next to unopened packages. Crass suspicious silent auction table as soon as you walk in. Pool looked questionable and after everything else I didn’t trust not getting a bacterial infection. Didn’t see any members of staff in whole hotel aside from receptionist (owners?- no name tags so who knows) Room had 3 postage stamp bath towels. No hand towel, no spare towels, no wash clothes. Whole place smelt of weed. Our room hadn’t been vacuumed. Had to wear noise cancelling headphones because there was no sound insulation from the other rooms. Thermostat on the wall wasn’t wired it, wouldn’t turn on. Awful cheap pillows. Half the room didn’t have power so couldn’t use the sockets on one side of the room or the floor lamp. Paint job was very sloppy. There was wall paint on the door handles and wonky lines like it was not done by a professional. Flooring didn’t go all the way to the edges. Pet fee was $75 per dog which was the most expensive of all the hotels across the country. (Usual $25 or free) I will never willing stay at a franchise spark by Hilton again. Awful. Don’t waste your money.

Difficult to get to.

The hotel looked more like motel 6 it was plain . Walls in the bath room were disgusting. Dirty and filthy. We had no trash cans. None in the bathroom and none in the room. So I asked for some and they brought me 2 the were filthy dirty on the outside with over sized bags. I didn’t even want to touch those thrash cans. Never will I ever stay there. Oh and the floors in the bathroom were sticky, had no mat towels in the bathroom either. If you stay there good luck .

Overall the hotel is great! We stayed there for the night after attending a concert at Tinley Park, so the location is perfect. I’m taking off a star ONLY because the walls are extremely thin. You can hear everything. At 6am I swear there was a soccer game on the floor above us and full conversation maybe next door or in the hall. Balls were bouncing and shaking everything. Other than that, it was a great experience and would definitely stay there if attending another concert!

The property was not clean.

The front desk person, while nice did not explain anything regarding the property or amenities. We had to visit the front desk 3 separate times to get information about breakfast, obtaining a non existent do not disturb sign and getting more than one set of towels in a king room. I'm disappointed in this Hilton stay.
