Holiday Inn Pewaukee - Milwaukee West by IHG

hotel is fine. staff is great, room was fine. place wreaked of marijuana. seems they are housing some highway seasonal workers in one side of the hotel(?). didnt bother me any, but may make some people nervous.

There was a very nice restaurant Thunder Bay connected by a walkway . We were able to meet friends at the restaurant twice during our stay without having to get in the car and drive somewhere. The hotel is right off I94 and easy access to the Milwaukee area. Also the staff was friendly and accommodating. I loved the big walk-in shower.

I appreciate the adjacency to Thunder Bay Grill which allowed us to walk to dinner, plus the food catered to my pisca-vegan spouse. The room was clean but the ADA altered bathroom hardware wasn't attached or located correctly to hang towels to dry. I did not appreciate the location of our room directly above the speakers of the wedding party in the ground floor. The DJ ended at 12 am and didn't allow for much sleep Saturday night. If you are housing party guests you may want to stick them in this room-- at least they're at the party and won't mind the noise. And while I understand that having a wedding party over the weekend limited available rooms-- I didn't appreciate having the lowered amenities of the ADA room-- sink, bed, closet hangers, toilet for our entire stay. Thank you for having these options for the people who need them-- for us it was just a pain in the back.

Staff was very helpful when I couldn’t get in the room. Crystal came up to make sure it wasn’t the key card, turns it was the reader on the door and she called up her maintenance guy right away and he changed the batter in the door reset it and even gave me points on the IHG card for being inconvenienced.

Hotel room and lobby were clean. Conveniently located for the purpose of my business and located next to Two excellent Restaurants.

Hotel was fine, dated but maintained decently. Only issue was the WiFi, very slow for trying to get email and work done.

It was nice and clean! The hotel smelled like marijuana the whole time but it was not a bad stay.

Over the past 5 years, I have traveled the 50 states. I have stayed in a mix of hotels and motels. I have stayed in places I probably wouldn’t return because of the condition or location of the place. While others I would return to in a heartbeat. The Holiday Inn Pewaukee is one of the “I’d return in a heartbeat” places. Everything from the spacious room to the friendly staff to the double shower head with the best water pressure I have ever experienced. I hope I get to return to Waukesha/Pewaukee just so I can stay here again.

Dirty bandaid on the floor of our room when we walked in, wrappers were on the floor by the bed, smoke free room smelled like smoke, toilet seat was broke, bathroom faucet hot and cold handles were reversed, almost every guest in the hotel was maskless during pandemic even though signs were posted that masks were required.

Nice decor and atmosphere. Staf was friendly and helpful.
