Stay away! Random items were stolen out of my LOCKED room on a door PROVEN to latch upon entry/exit the last day of a 3-day conference (laptop, ipad, airpods, chargers). Entry information I was given from key card logs was I was the only one keying in and out of the room. I was made to feel like I was a liar as my name was the only one badging in and out. . The Marriott corporate claims adjuster will claim if you did not lock your stuff up with their safe deposit service it is your fault due to Innkeeper statute laws (Umm, it was in my locked room!! Shame on me for allowing housekeeping to come in and out daily and having my closed backpack out in my room!) They will make you feel low in a time of stress and state this kind of thing does not happen at this "high-end" hotel! ((Why is it "high-end"? because it has views of a declining cIty waterfront!)) My airpods eventually pinged off a hotel two blocks up from the hotel on the "Find My" iPhone app but were never recovered. Beware of thieves if you decide to stay here! Yet another victim of random Baltimore City crime with no corporate responsibility. DANGEROUS! Again, stay away from this location if you don't want to run the risk of items stolen from your supposed secure room while you are away.

We recently spent two nights at the end of February 2026 at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront with our 6-year-old daughter and came away very impressed with the property. It proved to be an excellent base for a short family getaway. The Positives: 1) Room Setup: We appreciated having two queen beds, which worked perfectly for a family of three. Both beds were comfortable, and the room layout felt functional rather than cramped. 2) Location: The hotel's proximity to major attractions was ideal. On our first full day, we walked about 10 minutes along the waterfront to the National Aquarium, which made for an easy and pleasant outing. The next day, we made a similarly short walk to the Port Discovery Children's Museum (formerly known as the Children’s Discovery Center). In both instances, being able to walk back and forth without relying on transportation made the trip significantly smoother with a young child. 3) Staff and Service: The staff were consistently helpful. The concierge lounge attendants were friendly, and the front desk team handled check-in and check-out efficiently. On our departure day, we were able to store our luggage seamlessly after checking out, which allowed us to enjoy a few more hours in the area without feeling encumbered. 4) Elevators: This may seem like a small operational detail, but it mattered. We were on the 21st floor, and the concierge lounge is on the 31st. Because there is no direct elevator connection between those floors, we frequently had to ride down to the lobby and transfer elevators. Despite this added movement, the elevators were consistently quick and efficient. We never found ourselves waiting long, even during busier periods—a notable plus in a large waterfront hotel. 5) Concierge Lounge: The lounge was a real asset, particularly on our first evening. After traveling, it was convenient to piece together a full dinner from the generous spread available there. The following morning was more uneven—they ran out of food earlier than expected due to heavier foot traffic—but this appeared to be more of a planning miscalculation than neglect. Overall, having access to the lounge added meaningful value to our stay. (Lounge access is limited to Marriott Bonvoy members with elite status, which fortunately my wife has because of her frequent travels.) 6) Breakfast Buffet: We opted for the breakfast buffet on our final morning. At $32 per person, it is undeniably expensive. That said, the quality and variety justified the price. The offerings were extensive: oatmeal, grits, pork and chicken sausage, bacon, home fries, scrambled eggs, pancakes, made-to-order omelets and waffles, juices, coffee, and more. It was a comprehensive, well-executed American breakfast spread. Overall: For a short family trip to Baltimore, the Marriott Waterfront struck the right balance between comfort, convenience, and service. The location alone makes it highly attractive for families planning to explore the Inner Harbor area, and the operational execution—from elevators to luggage storage—was smooth. We would gladly consider staying here again on a future visit.

While this is a visually stunning hotel with modern, nice-looking rooms, our stay was unfortunately ruined by a massive "weed" problem. From the moment we entered, the smell of marijuana was everywhere—the lobby, the restaurant, and even on many of the staff members. The issues inside our room were equally disappointing: The Smell: Our room smelled like a failed attempt to mask heavy smoking. Worse, every time we used the bathroom, a strong "skunk" odor drifted in from under the door. Maintenance: The room safe was broken. We called for a repair and waited 20 minutes before giving up; if someone eventually came, it wasn't fixed by the time we returned. Additionally, the bathroom outlet was non-functional. The most upsetting part was leaving. Once we got into our car, we realized the smell had seeped into our suitcases and all of our clean clothing. I have no issue with what people do in their own time, but a hotel should not smell like this. Truly a shame for such a nice-looking place.

If I could give 0 stars I would, every employee I encountered was rude and dismissive. The valet was closed and instead of having a sign that says closed they let everyone sit there for hours. When I told them of the issue they said absolutely nothing. Don’t waste your money or your time for a hotel that isn’t even nice.

We just stayed here for one night while visiting the Baltimore area. Overall, our stay from start to end was just average. The young woman who checked us in wasn’t the friendliest. She rarely smiled but gave us two rooms up on the top floor facing the lake. Overall, I was very very disappointed with the front desk staff at this hotel. Nobody working the desk seemed happy with their job, and anytime we needed something it seemed like we were bothersome, even though there was no line at the desk. The valet staff, and man who worked in the concierge lounge were friendly on a positive note. We had two king rooms up on the 32nd floor facing the lake. (Rooms 3211 and 3213) The view from both the rooms were stunning. The beds however were as hard as a rock and extremely uncomfortable. On top of that, every couple minutes I’d hear a loud roaring sound coming from the roof making it almost impossible for me to sleep. All around, we were just very disappointed with our stay at this hotel. I personally wouldn’t possibly stay here again, which is disappointing because the location is amazing. They desperately need to train the front desk on better customer service skills. That honestly was the part that disappointed me the most.
