We enjoyed our stay and the staff was very kind

The very few staff members were friendly enough, but nobody was ever AT the desk when we went by. The place smelled okay, although our room smelled STRONGLY of chloring, probaby from the jacuzzi tub, which we chose not to use. Overall it seemed clean enough.

It definitely is older and run down looking, especiallly the bathrooms, which are also SUPER small and have no fan/ventilation, which is unfortunate. I also HATE when hotels put the towels RIGHT ABOVE THE TOILET, where they can get... spray. YUCK. We had a few spiders in our room, which hubby killed for me, but I did wake up with several bites from something, although my husband did not. But right outside the back door we used to enter and exit was a huge pile of old MATTRESSES and box springs! (Pic below; it's rather dark). It looked SO trashy and was an open invitation for rodents to nest! Also a dumpster was right outside our room. The breakfast was not like what was described on the site: no biscuits and gravy, etc.. Just sad, dry reconstituted eggs and greasy bacon. We ate out everyday after looking at it.

The rooms are outdated and smelled moldy. The shower bottles were mostly empty. No one monitors the pool area - people with cases of beer sitting with them in the hot tub and other rude individuals.

Friendly staff and a clean facility

Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

We came to fish at nearby Green Lake. What was nice is we could plug in our boat to recharge at an outside outlet & had sufficient room to park our truck with boat. However, we would suggest calling ahead as it was not a busy weekend at this property. Property was clean & staff was friendly.

I rarely write reviews, but after our stay at Boarders, I must make an exception. Our stay at this motel was special in every way. The room was very clean with beds so comfy, we felt we were sleeping on clouds. The breakfast was a wonderful way to start our day, with choices from apples to yogurt and everything-breakfast in between. The staff is an accommodating family-run business, and, in our opinion, the best-kept lodging secret in Ripon, WI. We look forward to our next visit to Ripon, so we can be assured of another great stay.

I booked this hotel as we were going to a wedding in Green Lake and needed a place that was close and convenient to our destination I'm glad I booked this place it was very clean very quiet the people were very friendly and I would definitely recommend it
