The Suite Inn

NO ELEVATOR!!!!! We are on a trip with our parents and they requested an easy access room. The facility only had one lower level room open, and they gave it to me, not my parents, even though they requested easy access. We swapped room keys with them, and as we were heading to the 3rd floor, we discovered there are no elevators. The breakfast that they offer is mini bottled water and bagels. Our room was clean, but the beds seem to be on the metal bed frames that you get off Amazon for $30. There were only 2 of us in our room, and it was pretty small.. I really can’t imagine fitting 4 people in that room even though there’s enough bed space for them. There was an apartment size fridge/freezer, and microwave in the room. The ice maker was out of service. There seemed to be a lot of construction happening at all hours. The parking situation sucks—maybe if the UHaul trailers they also rent out weren’t parked in their parking spaces, there would be a lot more room to park—we arrived fairly late and there were only a few parking spaces left.

The property is in a good location but the cleanliness and service is not great.

The check in was simple and fast polite staff. Queen beds are not made for 2 people. The room smelled like smoke. Finally the wonderful overnight staff was nice and tried Oder eliminating products which helped.

The hotel seemed to be getting a facelift. It was very modern. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful!

We got in around 11:00 p.m., the front desk lady was helping someone else but she took the time to look up and let me know that she would be with me, when the phone rang she quickly, took care of that and took care of me. Was very apologetic for making me wait. When she asked what we were in town for and I told her for Mount Rushmore she came out from behind the desk got a map & was like this is where you need to go and while you're there you need to do the thread the needle. It's very awesome. This is the road you would take. She was very helpful. Very polite. The room was was neat and tidy. All the decor matched. It was very quiet. When we came into the hotel from visiting Mount Rushmore. Once again the front desk was asking us how we were doing. They greeted us. They were very cheerful. They were very pleasant. They asked how our stay was. Out of all the hotels that we stayed in during our trip. This was by far the best one. The only negative thing would be that they didn't have any ice but that was because there was an issue with the ice machine and it was being worked on as we were leaving
