Family holiday, Please note- £7 euro tax charge per person taken at reception. We are age ranged from 43, 65 and 75 years old. 43 year old and 65 year old walked into town only took 12 minutes from hotel if that. We went half board. Rooms at the hotel are extremely clean and they are cleaned every day if you wish, air con is included in the rooms and there is a kettle, hair dryer, safe and mini bar. Free water and tea, coffee in the rooms, we stayed in a standard room. Swimming pool medium size, entertainment/pool side team are fantastic, the energy is fabulous we joined in with Christina and Gadea Pilate, water fitness and clay workshop with staff member Nacho and Pucho which were all fun. Pool towel is provided at pool side by the life guard every day. Food in the hotel is amazing with so much to choose from, fresh made omelettes to your taste, lush bread, toast and marmalade, so many choices of fresh fruit with oats, dried fruit and yogurts, pastries , scrambled eggs, fried eggs and chicken sausages or chorizo for breakfast choices, plus ham, cheese’s then for dinner choices there was paella, pork on the bone (shank’s of meat), pork loin steaks, pasta , feta salad, prawn salad, tuna salad, braised beef, beef steaks, chips, potatoes, chicken pie. Pool side bar price for chips £9. Euro, £12 euro for a cocktail. The beach, is only a 12-15 minute walk. If you are elderly and have a “walker seat” or walking stick, I would definitely recommend this from the hotel walk to the beach. Reception staff where so helpful with offering help with accompanying us to the return coach transfer as we had a transfer pick up at 12 midnight so security (Marko staff member was very helpful and a good sport smiling, welcoming) he offered a wheel chair and assistance for the 75 year old for the path as it is steep then a slope. Melia is a 4 star hotel and is well worth a visit we stayed for 4 nights (3 days). We all had a Aromatherapy massage with (Monica the massage therapist, she was very calming, welcoming and had a healing energy that made us all feel relaxed) the massage was nice and relaxing but if you are wanting pressure then a firmer massage choice would be recommended. £75 euro for 50 minute massage aromatherapy session. £80 euro for a 50 minute muscular massage.
