Holua Resort

It was a very nice, clean and beautiful resort. They provide everything you needed in the kitchen. The unit has a washer/dryer. They provided laundry detergent too. Staff were friendly.

It was great, the place was beautiful and very confortable, very spacious and clean. The dishwasher wasn’t working but we really didn’t need it, they offered to fix it during our stay but we declined it. The people at the front very friendly and helpful, the experience at the resort was great! Probably the only thing I can suggest improve is to have sitting in the same room the time share sales people, we were coming from other country and getting late and tired, they confused you a lot and in a moment you think all is part of the great service from the hotel, it was a bad experience where they made you go to 15 mins drive to cancel what you acepted the 1st day just because you got confused and didn’t want to be rude to say No, to buy a time share.

Property was old and not well kept. The pool closest to our room was not available to use and the lights in the pool that were went to didn’t work. The mattress in the pullout bed was stained all over.

Our unit was very comfortable, well equipped, and spacious. There were a few issues with our unit - one of the two AC units needed to be repaired, and the ice maker in the refrigerator did not work. The AC was fixed while we were there. Also, the toilet kept running intermittently. I fixed that by messing with the flapper. The grounds are well kept, and very tropical. If you are a pickle ball or tennis player there are courts near the room. The pickle ball play can get loud, but the property has a quiet time starting at 10:00 PM so play stops by then. The only restaurants within walking distance are at the Outrigger Hotel. They are very nice, but can be pricy. Kailua-Kona has many good places to eat within a 15 to 20 minute drive.

Pool was in poor shape and the tile out side and patio was very slippery when it’s wet. I slipped and fell. Reported to the front desk

The accommodations were wonderful. The space is in the process of being renovated; however, the few cosmetic issues being addressed did not take away from the experience. The bedrooms, as well as upstairs living, dining and full kitchen exceeded our expectations. Everything was well stocked with linens, towels, cooking items and even things like a rice pot, blender, and small cooler. We would definitely recommend this property. There is a short walk from the parking structure and I would note that there are stairs that might pose a challenge for older guest with walking limitations. That being said, very roomy and great for families.
