Bluelake Inn at Tahoe

Really good for the night. Beds little uncomfortable

Close to all the South Shore activities while staying in a smaller hotel. Room was clean and check in staff was very friendly and helpful.

The TA description is wrong. This motel has no pool and no breakfast, not even brewed coffee, just packets in the rooms. There are few amenities- no lotion, no outdoor seating, no staff after hours. It’s just a barebones motel. WiFi is not secure. Decent enough, clean, hot shower, and quieter than many of the party places all around SLT. They have ice, vending drinks, coin laundry. Bed was ok but pillows are flat. I’d stay again because it’s adequate and easy walking distance from shops, restaurants, Target, outdoor store, coffee etc. No frills and not charming but that also describes South Lake Tahoe. It’s a place to get out of as soon as possible.

Considering it's close to a busy area, it's pretty quiet. Room and furniture are a bit older, but functional. Bed is not super comfortable, but not horrible either. The biggest complaint I have is that there are not power outlets by the bed to charge your electronics. There is an outlet but it is use by a lamp and an internet router. The other outlet is way behind the table on the other side of the room and impossible to get to. This is easily solved if you can get some new lamps that have USB ports and power outlets on them.

Room was clean. Could use updating. Pool was not open and there was no mention of that on the website (at least nothing I saw).

The staff at check in and check out were very sweet and friendly. The room was decent size with two queen beds. the bigger fridge was great. the bathroom was fine, luckily there was a window that looked out to a brick wall to we were able to leave it over since there is no fan in the bathroom. the toilet and tub were slow draining/flushing. The pool/hot tub was under construction, which kinda of sucked for the summer but oh well. decent place to stay and very close to everything. Tons of Lime scooters which helped with getting to the casinos a lot faster.
