Always a nice hotel. The Marine Birthday bash was great again.

No hot water. Lukewarm showers really suck when it's cold out.

Recently stayed here while my spouse was in town for work. Overall, we thought the hotel was excellent for spending time in New Orleans. I’ll share the reason for 4 stars in a bit. We are actually keeping it in mind for future travel to NO, even if we’re not coming for work. The location in the Central Business District is great—you are so close to many eating options, the French Quarter is close enough to walk to but you’re also not right in the middle of all the action there, so it’s much calmer. There are multiple streetcar stops nearby as well. Our final room was great—lots of space, super comfortable bed, nice couch for lounging, a mini refrigerator and microwave, and a gigantic bathroom (tip: to get hot water for the shower, only turn the nozzle a little bit. If you turn it all the way down, it gets very cold). Hotel issue: we booked this hotel quite a while ago. Our arrival was very late at night. When we checked in, they didn’t have our room available (we’d upgraded to a suite). First, it came across as if there was no room for us, which was not want you to hear at midnight. Then there was something about a maintenance issue preventing us from getting into our actual room. The hotel employee was working hard to get this all straightened out & did apologize for the inconvenience. She then put us in a corner room for the night, gave us a credit to use at the restaurant &/or hotel store, and assured us that we could move into our suite the following morning. Thank you Tory!! The room for that night was lovely & huge (most NO hotel rooms are tiny), with fabulous windows. We went down to the check-in area first thing the following morning and were given keycards & our new room number & told to take all the time we needed to move rooms. The reason I’m giving 4 stars for service is because it makes no sense to me how our reserved room was not available at midnight but was available by 8 am the very next day…it’s stressful as a traveler to be told there’s not a room available at midnight when you arrive and you know you had a reservation. With that said, I’m appreciative to Tory for making sure we had somewhere to sleep that night & for getting us set up for the remainder of our trip. Five stars for Tory, for sure. Food nearby: there is a restaurant attached to the hotel—Luke. Food is delicious. I’d recommend making reservations for dinner, as they are popular and busy. Cafe Beignet is a local chain with 2 locations very nearby on Canal. The beignets are delicious (we prefer to get them at Cafe Beignet rather than Cafe du Monde most of the time). They also have a great breakfast menu & there’s a lunch menu too, but we did not try that. Olive is a small Mediterranean restaurant on 339 Carondelet; the street behind the hotel. Fantastic food, quick service, friendly people. Highly recommend! Peche: local restaurant within walking distance for dinner or lunch (800 Magazine). Food is delicious, service is excellent. Definitely make reservations if you want to eat here. They are very popular & fill up fast. French Truck Coffee: another local business & there’s a location on the corner of Canal & St. Charles—just a few blocks from hotel. They’ve got pastries, yogurt, fruit, and a few other food items, in addition to coffees and teas. Definitely makes for an easy breakfast & I enjoyed everything I tried there.

I usually stay at Hilton hotels and the experience is usually positive. So, on a positive note - the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. But it was downhill from there. They do not have hot water in the shower and the water pressure was non existent! The TV didn’t work, we had to call 2 times for them to come and fix it. The valet parking is expensive, but we were happy to pay it…thinking it would be professional - WRONG! They do not answer the phone when calling to order the car, the front desk could care less…and when I finally found someone- 30 minutes later, they brought me the wrong car! Unbelievable! When I went to talk to the front desk they told me that they could not take off the charge, but they would leave a note! Not the service I have come to expect from Hilton! I hope they clean up their act!

I did not have the best experience staying here. I decided to valet the car as they made it seem easy and quick. I asked the guy at the valet desk if it was possible to schedule my car to be ready at a specific time each day and while he did say no, he advised to call the front desk ahead of time to get on the list. Nobody answered any time I called so I had to go down to request the vehicle and it took 20-25 minutes every time. Would’ve been quicker and cheaper to ride share. I called to get a partial refund for the valet cost and got tossed around and ignored. I was told I would get a call back from a manager and never did so when I called back, I started explaining why I was calling and as soon as I mentioned valet, Shania immediately cut me off (and was very rude) and bounced me to the valet manager. Nobody will take ownership. Hilton blamed the 3rd party valet company and the valet company blamed Hilton. In addition, my shower never got hot water and the room thermostat was broken, only blowing out cold air. Someone did come to fix the room temp but it didn’t work well. Thankfully the stay was short but I will not stay here again when I return. On a positive note, Luke’s restaurant was good!

Location and building were great.

Valet parking was expensive and not openly advertised as so. Access for handicap assistance by staff was witnessed and found lacking.

Not a fan of the predatory ‘Urban Destination Charge’ (whatever that means) added at check-in. $25 per day, per room, PLUS tax... For two rooms over three days, that’s an extra $175. Interestingly, this same fee was $20 just a few months ago. What exactly was added to your service to justify a 25% increase on a made-up charge? And please, spare me the usual excuse that it covers WiFi or “credits” for food and drinks. I shouldn’t have to prepay for things I haven’t ordered, period. Especially when the credit barely covers an $8 bottle of water in the lobby market. Greed has never been a good long-term business strategy. Just ask Las Vegas.

The room is very spacious and offers two decent size beds. The bathroom is fully equipped, but everything might need an upgrade or some maintenance.

The main issue with this hotel is the location. Not so the neighbourhood (that is fine), but it is located next to the RTA (tram) that runs 24/7 and makes so much noise and makes the room vibrate (3rd floor) that it is impossible to sleep.

We stayed October 17&18 So the location was great for what are adventure entailed, the atmosphere was great, we were treated very nicely when coming up to the counter! the manager Trea was awesome ( Friendly and very helpful) and Ivy was awesome. So friendly , energetic and helpful! When we come back to Nola we will be staying here and will recommend to others. Thank you for the great weekend!

Comfortable and room was clean, took a while to get my car to leave Monday morning early!
