Mount Royal Hotel

Where do I start! 10 star review & one of the best hotels & friendliest service you will ever have, & the food is divine! We arrived for 2 nights & check in was smooth. Front staff were great. We enjoyed meeting Jodi, Andras & Amelia - so fun & welcoming. Our room was upgraded & we left for an event & they delivered all of our stuff to our room. Brazen is a fabulous upscale restaurant. We enjoyed Proscecco, pork belly & the ginger beef. Amazing! We enjoyed breakfast & the homemade blueberry & blackberry jam on sourdough should be illegal since it's so good! The orange glazed pork belly was so good my hubby & I didn't talk once through eating it! Our fabs servers & bartenders were Rye (you are a delight), Molly, Wiggy, Hannah (sorry about the spelling but from Ireland!) & Kaitlyn.Nice to meet Chad the manager as well! Mount Royal is right in the heart of downtown. The mountain views (depending on which room you're in are amazing to wake up to!) You won't go wrong staying here; the staff, the food, the cocktails...just WOW! We can't wait to return & this will be our stay once again! Thank you Mount Royal for treating us much like royalty! For location, comfort, great staff and a warm and welcoming atmosphere, I can't fault the Mount Royal. The room was a good size and really comfortable and it was great having everything literally on the doorstep.

Greta value for money in the heart of Banff. Would highly recommend this property! Very comfortable spacious beds and a clean bathroom conveniently located downtown! Would stay again!

Lovely hotel in the most beautiful location! Right in the heart of the Rocky Mountains and walking distance to some wonderful trails with scenic views. Shops, bars snd restaurants are on your doorstep. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Only reason I didn’t give a 5* rating was because the cleaner didn’t make the beds and clean the room properly. Also the mirror was in an awkward position on the side of the wardrobe with hardly any space between the mirror and wall.

Rooms were a bit tight

This place doesn’t have any customer service. I cancelled with in the free cancellation period and they kept all my money. It took a week for them to look into and once they did. They did not understand the time zones or take the time to I’m really disappointed. The couple I know that made the trip said both hot tubs weren’t warm enough to use and the elevator was constantly lined up and even in slow season it’s too close to downtown loud street noise better to be a block off.

Good size room with very comfy beds. Lovely bathroom. Hot tub on the roof was great and had wonderful views of the town and the mountains. Excellent location in the centre of Banff. Was able to get a parking spot easily in November.

A little more lighting in the rooms would have been helpful as well as hooks to hang up coats/robes etc.
