Meliá Jardines del Teide - Adults Only

First time at this hotel, check in wasn't till 3pm. Arrived at one so a lot of hanging around.. In hind site would of got a later flight. You can not pay with euros anywhere in the hotel. It's either charged to your room or pay by bank card! We were half board are room was spacious and clean. Two big beds pushed together and not to soft.. big shower and bathroom. Meals were nice and breakfast although we have had better selection in other hotels we have travelled to. Nice area although a bit of a hill to walk to the hotel. But we were out every day walking. Got the bus to los cristianos and walked along the coast through las America's to costa adeje. Lovely walk. One afternoon on the way back to the hotel my husband was attacked from behind.. a man had his hands around his neck trying to get his gold chain!! Glad to say he didn't get it.. chain was snapped on the clasp. This is no reflection on the hotel but would like others to know to be on there guard when out and about. Lot of lucky men in town selling sun glasses etc they can be annoying at times especially when eating lunch. All in all a nice break but we won't be going back to tenerife.

Very nice hotel had a lovely room Overlooking the sea . Friendly staff. Very clean Breakfasts very good. 15/20 minute taxi ride from airport.

Bottom Of the pool needs some work. Hotel is on quite a steep hill 10 mins from the beach but you can get a shuttle bus down and back up but only at certain times.

10/10 for the Meliá Jardines. The hotel is in an excellent location overlooking the sea. The hotel is set amongst beautiful lush well maintained gardens. We stayed in a sea view junior suite which was beautifully maintained on a daily basis. The quality and selection of food was definitely 5 star as were all the other hotel facilities. The morning activities such as candle, soap, jewellery making and art classes were excellent. Definitely could not fault this hotel in any way. This was our second visit and already looking forward to returning next year all being well. Keep up the good work everyone at Meliá Jardines.

Great hotel. I Really enjoyed. We didn't upgrade to the level we only stayed bed and breakfast. Breakfast was lovely. Prosecco on arrival was a nice touch. We love Tenerife and been many times (usually with the kids) . We prefere the beach to the pool so spent most days at the beach and came and had about an hour by the pool at the end of the day. There were always sunbeds at all times of the day. Tip for you if you like exploring outside the hotel. The walk down to the beach (durque) beach is about 10 mins few bars and restaurants there, if like me you like the fanabe end down by puerta colon the restaurants are much cheaper (and just as nice) An example of this paella for 2 was around €70 at the durque end and around €40 Fanabe end. The room was fabulous and cleaned daily. The hotel had a nice chilled vibe and i would definitely recommend and will be back.

Perfect hotel . Staff amazing . Go and enjoy

We stayed here for a long weekend in May as a group of friends- 9 of us in 5 different rooms. From start to finish I have to say the service we received was amazing. All the staff were incredible. They are all very kind, helpful and attentive. I was impressed with every member of staff I met. The site is beautiful and well maintained, the rooms are clean and spacious. If you are in a room for 3 (as we were) be aware the 3rd person will be on the sofa bed. The sofa bed was actually very comfortable but sadly the bed hadn’t been made up and no bedding was available in the room so we had to try to sort this out late in the evening so just something to be aware of to check when you arrive. The hotel grounds are large and set over many levels so it does take a while to learn to navigate it all. There are lots of steps (and elevators). We enjoyed the pool area, it was very relaxing and great drinks from the pool bar. It is a very relaxing and tranquil vibe. Some of my friends made use of the gym and the classes. As we were there only a long weekend we mainly stayed at the hotel and relaxed. We went to the beach once (it was very busy) and we also did a whale watching trip from Los Cristianos (booked on Get your guide) which I would highly recommend. Look for the ‘no chase’ company which were very respectful. We saw pilot whales and dolphins. If you need taxis there’s a stand near-by and you can order from reception. It’s a 10 minute walk to the beach and into the town. There are plenty of places to eat and shop nearby. We were all inclusive so didn’t eat out. As a vegan my only very small complaint was that the food labelling at the buffet often had the ‘’V’ Vegan sign on the label but the items were frequently not vegan -Ice cream, yogurt, milkshake (all listed as containing dairy ) pasta salad (contained fish!) I wear glasses so found it hard to view the allergens symbols and on the first day was so impressed to see the ‘V’ sign. I learned very quickly it was meaningless and should not be believed. It was quite frustrating and this symbol should just be removed to avoid confusion. It happened on daily basis and was very disappointing. My other very small complaint was when requesting water at the bar it was always a small plastic bottle of water which is definitely not sustainable or environmentally friendly. I think it would be much better to have many more water dispensers around the hotel where guests can access water themselves without the need to have a plastic bottle every time. I stayed 3 nights whereas the rest of my room left the following day. At reception they confirmed there were no charges when I left however since returning there was a charge on my card which I have queried and haven’t yet received a reply from the hotel. As I was all inclusive and none of us had anything from the minbar, I’m not sure what this is for and do hope they reply and rectify it. I think a receipt /acknowledgement is required if a charge is made. Some of my other friends also said they were charged for items they hadn’t used when they checked out so just something to be aware of. Overall I did really enjoy my stay at this hotel. The hotel and the staff were superb.
