Vøringfoss Hotel

Great location

Booked a deluxe room with balcony as we wanted to enjoy Eidfiord and the view. But we had no view as the cruiseliners dock right in front of the hotel. Only compensation was a “sorry” when we checked in. So make sure to check if a cruise ship is in port before booking a room with a view.

Vi hade ett rum med balkong med en härligt utsikt över fjorden, som dock skymdes helt på morgonen då ett kryssningsfartyg kom in… Helt ok men inte prisvärt.

Veldig hyggelig personale. Både i resepsjonen og restauranten. Stort, godt rom med naturen rett inn. Vi var avhengig av rullestol og rullator. Det var veldig godt tilrettelagt og god plass på rommet til det.

Alles top. Das einzige Manko, Kühlschrank und Kaffee fehlen im Zimmer. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

The hotel is a great location. We had a regular room that didn't look out to the water. Our room was basic and the handbasin did not drain bery well. The shower screen was hopeless with water going everywhere. We paid $280 Aus for the night and this did include breakfast. The room did not have a fridge or coffee making facilities. You are paying an enormour price for the location. There is very little choice for food for dinner int Eidfjord. We bought two beers and some pizza pieces from the CoOp supermarket. Norway is so expensive for eating out.
