"those allergic to good service will LOVE this place"

We’ve been here three times and I just had to delete my review from our last visit because things have changed so very much. We only visited a few months ago but this place has gone down hill drastically. We booked for a few pre July 4 nights and got here to learn that folks were pretty much lucky to even have rooms. We chose this hotel over other Marriotts nearby, in part, because of the great service at the bar and the concierge lounge. When we got here we learned the lounge was closed for the whole week or more near the 4th holiday, and they gave no prior indication it would be closed. Instead they gave us vouchers for the bar but I was amazed to see the bartenders had absolutely no desire to be at work or to serve customers. As an added bonus the water is being shut off by the city for at least a few hours during our stay, also no indication ahead of time to let us know this was happening. Honestly had we been given a heads up about at least one of these issues we would have chosen another hotel, but the goal at this place seems to be reel them in and let them deal. And they are doing a great job at it!

The room was nice and clean and quiet. However, the air conditioning didn’t seem to work well. It was a hot day. We turned it up all the way, and it was still 75 degrees during the night. It also took at least five minutes to get any hot water. You had to let it run before showering.

Check-in was quick & efficient! They had a late night menu which was reasonably priced and staff working it/the bar who were friendly. Comfy beds for the night. Will stay again when in the area.
