The Bentley Hotel Southampton

Ice machine is in a creepy spot. I was afraid to go down there. lol

I initially looked at AirBnBs, VRBOs, and larger more mainstream hotels in the area for our virgin trek to explore the Hamptons. I took a chance on Bentley Southampton based on the reviews and most importantly, the gracious cancellation policy. When we arrived, I was somewhat put back by the location and seeming 'motel-like' appearance of the property. My hubby asked to use the facilities upon arrival, as we'd been OTR for about 4 hours travelling from our visit to upstate NY through NYC into Long Island. He was directed to use the facilities in one of the rooms, and was so impressed with what he found, he came back with video to reassure me that we'd made a good choice. The room did not disappoint. Spacious, spotless, well appointed, with everything we needed to complete our 2 week visit to upstate NY, the city, and the Hamptons. And the location is perfect. Nestled just outside Southampton proper, close enough to everything we wanted to see and do, including Southampton, Sag Harbor, and Easthampton. The staff are amazing, and they clean the rooms daily, which is pretty much unheard of nowadays. We stayed at another Hyatt property in upstate NY the week before and had to request cleaning service during an 8 night stay. This property is a hidden gem....do not sleep on The Bentley Hotel Southampton!!! You will not be disappointed!!

I came for a funeral. The accomodations and off season price were better than expected. Would definately come again, off season, other wise - too expensive.

This is my go to hotel due to large unit which makes you feel like your home and not in a tight stuffy hotel room. Close enough to good restaurants in Southampton and Hampton Bays. Always go to Old Montauk highway and not the main road to head east or west.

I would enjoy a hot tub but there is nothing I don’t like about this place. The doors are really heavy but that makes me feel safe.

Should have complimentary continental breakfast foods.

Getting onto the main road. The traffic is heavy and there is not a traffic light to stop or slow down the heavy traffic. Almost impossible to make a left turn due to the heavy speeding cars.

I appreciated the private hallway entryway, and I liked that the bedroom was fully separate from the living room. Both spaces had their own TVs, and the suite felt very spacious overall. The beds were nice and firm, which made for a comfortable stay. It’s also an easy, short drive to the beach.

I found myself wishing there had been a larger trash can or an easily accessible outdoor dumpster for guest use, as the current setup felt a bit limited.
