Howard Johnson by Wyndham Staunton

Very nice and friendly staff and great location to good food and downtown.

The property was just a short walk out of town. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. Several food choices across the courtyard. Continental breakfast was basic.

Our room had no fridge or microwave. Didn't need the microwave but fridge would have been nice.

The room had a weird smell/odor in both rooms that were booked. We kept the door open for an hour each time we came back to the room.

Central location. Room was clean and spacious.

The whole property is tired and need of a refurbishment.

The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and helpful!

For a non-smoking room, it smelled like nothing but smoke. Area was a little sketchy.

The location was perfect. Staunton is a lovely town. Conveniently located.

The hotel was extremely outdated. TV was very old and grainy. There was a section of molding near bed needing repair. Worse of all the bathroom was filthy! Even after I complained the next day towels were replaced but bathroom tub, sink and mirror stayed dirty! First night I had to wash the tub and wipe bathroom down to use it. The hotel was booked so we couldn’t be relocated. Manger did give a discount of $25 which in my opinion wasn’t enough considering housekeeping still didn’t clean. It was clear this hotel was being utilized by residents situated on back of hotel. They should not place customers in this section if not going to clean regularly. Was disappointed and expected better from Howard Johnson Brand
