Pleasant experience. Conveniente neighborhood with restaurants and nearby shopping center.

great location. walking distance to punta carretas mall, pocitos beach. catch a bus to anywhere. supermarket 2 blocks away. lots of bars and restaurants. upscale section of town. everybody working there was super from the maids to the waitresses to the front desk. not a lot of english but gave me a chance to practice my spanish and it is uruguay. paid an extra 5 bucks for a superior suite.. 10th floor facing quiet courtyard type area. good AC big flatscreen..32?.. with good cable. jetted tub. small kitchen with fridge and microwave and sink... small pool with sauna and gym.... very safe at night

We stayed for four nights In a superior room. Good size, very clean. The king bed was somewhat flimsy, when one person moved the whole bed moved. However overall the room was fine. Breakfast was average in terms of quality. Breakfast room was crowded and staff not highly organized but this is not a deal breaker. We're on vacation and go with the flow. Loved the neighborhood. Several good nearby restaurants and enjoyed walks to the beach. Would not hesitate to stay here again. While in the area we checked out several other hotels and this was the best value for this quality hotel that we found. Should note it is very easy to get to downtown mvd. The bus runs along the same street as hotel. It costs 20 pesos and takes 15 minutes. Alternatively a cab ride is about 100 pesos.

Rooms are spacious and clean. Complimentary Wi-Fi access in hotel room was good. Friendly and helpful staff. I called front desk to book a cab to the bus terminal but they forgot to make the reservation. However, the situation was promptly resolved during check-out

Very pleasant. Wonderful breakfast in light filled room. Swimming pool available. Exercise room. Rio Plata and Rambla a few blocks away. Famous neighborhood Fair nearby. Shopping Center within walking distance. Plenty of good restaurants and cafes nearby.

Can't say enough about our stay. Our room was clean, spacious amd comfortable. Staff was very nice. I usually don't give all high marks on everything, but we really were very happy with our stay.

We came in by bus from Colonia to see Montevideo. It was a $5 cab ride from the bus terminal but no where near the Old Quarter. We got here Saturday afternoon and told not to go to the Old Quarter - it was too dangerous after 3 pm. So we went down to the beach - very nice but the only thing to do there or visit the nearby indoor mall. The room itself is fabulous - granite countertops in the bathroom and kitchen area, a very large bathroom - like an American bathroom - the first I found in South America! The room was huge as it is a "suite" - included a desk with a great TV. The bed was nice and firm and the room clean and inviting. The front desk staff was great - told us how dangerous the Viejo section is and we changed our plans completely after talking with them. We went to a local restaurant for a Chivito - way better than a hamburger and a local specialty. The buffet breakfast was the best I had in So. America complete with scrambled eggs and fresh squeezed OJ. I would skip Montevideo but if you have to be here this is a great hotel and I'd stay here again. PS We never did make it to the Old City but opted to take the earlier ferry back to Buenos Aires.

Armond Suites has an excellent location, based on a upscale neighbourhood in Montevideo. Not faraway from the city center and main attractions. Rooms are clean and spacey. A good value for money.

The location is great. The hotel itself is just ok.
