Red Carpet inn Edison

Located in easy walking distance from New Brunswick Train station (for a European, i.e. 5km or so). In fact, one can cross the US1 highway by foot at the traffic lights right at the Motel, which gives you easy access to the other half of town. The shopping plaza nearby has basic food options. Overall good value for money. Of course, you shouldn't expect luxury or entertainment from a motel, it is designed to spend one night. But the room and washroom were rather spacious, it comes with free internet, a microwave, a TV, and air conditioning. The front desk is staffed 24h, which is a big plus for long-distance travelers on a shaky schedule, when you don't know if your train or flight will be on time.

It's a motel located on a road with substantial travel. In view of this, I would have liked the front door to close a bit more tightly to provide better sound proofing.

Had all basic amenities, comfortable bedding

Noise: it’s on the main road and a motel so needs better noise insulation, main door had gap at the bottom and no latch inside so felt unsafe Bathroom needs upgrade: Found bugs in bathroom , no place to hang clothes in bathroom.

I liked Nothing about the motel.

I booked a room 3 days before arrival to only arrive and told that the room was not ready. I was put in another room that had yellow caution tape up at the windows. The room smelled realy bad. The stench got a little better with spray. The bathroom ceiling leaked as well. I would not stay there again.

Nothing it was creepy to get too

The bed was on top of what felt like a metal file cabinet every time you got on or off it was extremely loud. The wall unit was old and loud. There was a buzzing noise that came from the wall where tv was. The channel on tv kept going black. Turned water on in sink to brush my teeth and water came out brown thank god I had bottled water with me. It just felt cold and uninviting I wouldn’t recommend this facility. It also smelled I had to spray the room when I arrived. If it wasn’t so late I would have went elsewhere.
