The Charles Hotel

Hands down the best Hotel I've ever stayed in....period. Amazing staff, amazing amenities, amazing suite, beautiful overall esthetic.

Nice hotel and staff. I didn't even stay overnight, the one night I was suppose to because my dad was rushed to the emergency room. But the Location is RIGHT IN HARVARD SQ and the room looked nice and the bathroom was nice. I simply spent my time in the lobby doing work on my laptop and it was a nice set up. Plenty of power outlets. Working stations and couch and chairs. Second floor had a dining/food area. Bathroom on 2nd floor was nice. Staff was friendly and great on check in & check out. For the 10 hours I spent in the hotel I was bummed I couldn't have slept there but family comes first and since my dad may not be around too much longer always appreciate time with those you love.

Nothing. The staff and hotel were great. If the price is right for you and you enjoy a perfect located hotel this is the place for you. Nice overall and I enjoyed being able to do some work in the lobby without being bothered once by security or anyone else.

I am posting this review regarding my stay at The Charles Hotel in September 2025. During my stay, I slipped on wet steps, lost my footing, and fell violently into a glass door, sustaining injuries to my right hip. 4 months later I am still receiving Orthopedic treatment for my hip. The steps were unsafe, and the conditions directly caused my fall. Instead of taking responsibility for or showing concern for my injuries, The Charles Hotel turned their back on me and referred the matter entirely to their insurance company. The insurance company subsequently denied my claim, stating that because I was the only person who fell and no one else had reported issues with the steps, the incident was essentially my fault. I find this response unacceptable and dismissive of guest safety and accountability. Being the only person injured does not negate the existence of a hazardous condition. Based on my experience, I do not endorse The Charles Hotel and do not recommend staying there. Mike S.

This property is first-class all the way. The lobby is very chic, yet inviting, and smells amazing. The staff are very well trained, professional, and friendly. Honestly, you feel it from the moment you arrive. The valet was extremely helpful with both my luggage and car. The front desk staff is five-star, and my room was immaculate and impeccably decorated. I'm so glad I chose this hotel and will definitely return when I am back in Cambridge.

Twenty minute weekend car ride from Boston Logan, a very comfortable modern room. Walkable to many of the varying cuisine walkable restaurants around Harvard Square. Doorman, friendly and numerous check-in staff. High threadcount sheets and very comfortable mattress in a quiet room. Pricey, but worth it for a splurge.
