Motel 6-San Diego, CA - Southbay

Be cautious when booking at Motel 6 – San Diego, CA Southbay, especially if you reserve through Booking.com. I had a very disappointing experience this weekend after reserving a room for my girlfriend. Even though the reservation was confirmed, she was denied the room upon arrival and told she would have to pay the full price directly at the motel. When I contacted the motel manager, Melecio, to request a full refund for the original reservation, he denied the request, stating that because the booking was through Booking.com, he couldn’t assist. He also said the room was not provided because I was not physically present, despite the fact that I had emailed the property multiple times through Booking.com to notify them that my girlfriend would be arriving late in my place. According to Melecio, he “cannot answer Booking emails directly,” which made communication nearly impossible. My girlfriend arrived late at night and was still refused her room, even though I had reached out beforehand. I ultimately had to contact Booking.com customer service five separate times before the issue was finally resolved. Overall, Motel 6 – San Diego, CA Southbay and the manager were unwilling to accommodate my girlfriend, and they refused to issue a full refund without proof of my emails—emails they also claimed they could not receive or respond to. This was extremely frustrating and reflects poor business practices. I will not be booking with Motel 6 – San Diego, CA Southbay again.

The reception front make totally friendly, even we arrived late because the plane late arrival, and to stay only a few hours they offered to enjoy and rest with and extension of 1 hour for the check out if necessary.

It was clean and quiet. The room was nice, and bed comfortable!

No coffee! Most Motel 6’s have coffee pots in the room, or if not, then they provide coffee in office. Also, the room was clean but the floors need to be mopped. It was sticky and my socks got very dirty.

It was updated. Was clean except sheets. See didn't like comments.

Blood stains on sheets at bottom.. There is no way the maids could not have seen the stains and sheets very well worn that the dirt wouldn't come out with washing.. Asked for another room and the sheets were the same well worn, flimsy, not blood stains but stains that could not come out with washing. slept on top of bed in our sleeping bags. Also smell of cleanser to hide the musty smell in room was making my chest hurt. Pics of sheets. Need to zoom in to see the stains.
