Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Anderson Clemson

The staff was cussing and throwing things because they had to clean rooms since no one showed up for work. There was no backup power when the lights went out. I left my room and was told I couldn’t get back in because the power was out. Waited in the lobby for a manager to call the staff back just to find out they are battery locks. I asked for my money back for the second night I didn’t stay and never heard back. I did not stay a second night and was charged $200. I will never stay there again and will share this experience with anyone I meet asking about where to stay for games.

The desk staff granted our request for a late checkout. The next day we received a call asking why we hadn’t left the property three hours before our extended checkout. They did allow us one extra hour which impacted our plans. Housekeeping only cleaned our room once during a four night stay. The one time they cleaned our property they did not fully service it. They left one bed unmade. By the time we left both trash receptacles were overflowing. Overall it was not the experience we expected.

Bad news for such a new hotel. TV don’t get basic stations-desk staff says working ‘on it!’ Bathroom sink don’t drain, refrigerator didn’t work, nite reading lite by bed not working, mattress slides round on Formica platform causing injury to my shins, thermostat needs calibration and smoke alarm Lite above the bed keeps flashing a pin light.

Hotel was closed due to no electricity, need a refund please.

Saw a big cockroach going for breakfast

Our reservation was on September 27th, 2024 when hurricane Helene came through Anderson. When we arrived there was no power in the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Anderson. There was no AC, and only one employee in the whole hotel. I asked the lady to cancel that reservation and she agreed. However the computer system was down and she couldn't do it at the time so she took my name and phone number and said that the hotel manager was going to call me to verify the cancellation. Is it now Saturday evening the 28th and I have received no call. We did not stay at the hotel because we could not. Everything was shut down. The lady I talked to who was the only person there told me she would take care of it and have my money credited back to my account. The hotel was shut down because of hurricane Helene. We could not stay there, so our reservation was gladly canceled by the one and only employee at the hotel at the time. However there was no computer service, so she wrote my name down and phone number and said the manager would call me. I have received no calls yet and it is Saturday September 28th 2024.

Please was ok. Could use better pillows and air conditioner took all night to cool down.
