Cleanliness is a big deal for us and this hotel is very clean and well updated. One of their elevators stopped working one evening and by early morning they had it back up ready to go again, like it never happened. That attention to maintenance is great. The lobby was big and inviting - but also had private area if you wanted to be away from the noise. The patio area was beautiful and so relaxing. The pool was big and clean. The hot tub spacious. I loved that the pool had its own bathroom and shower area. Liked the gym equipment - updated and well maintained. They offer free use of their laundry area which was a huge help for our family. Good breakfast options with 3 waffle stations so you don't have to wait so long. They also offer an afternoon snack on some days. The Dove toiletries were great and the beds were very comfortable. Very friendly front desk. Definitely will come back. Was a great stay for our family. Close to Mall of America, Museum of Science, lake trails, and more.

The breakfast staff was not as welcoming and were shutting things down a few minutes prior to end time of breakfast. They didn't refill certain things. One of the days the staff turned off the lights a couple of minutes prior to the end time and were there waiting behind guests to lock the juice machine. Just wasn't very inviting. Been to other hotels where the staff is inviting, greets guests, ask them if they have found everything they needed, filling everything till the last minute and asking if anyone would like anymore before putting things away. I understand people have a job they have to get done, but the staff should be welcoming and accommodating. It's clear they are hard workers. That is good, but need to remember that they also work in customer service. HOW the food is served, maintained, and offered is just as important as getting the tasks done. Management should ensure they are given enough time and compensated sufficiently to able to provide that courtesy to guests. ALSO, I WISH they had smart tvs so we could stream from our favorite apps. The kids were confused about why we couldn't put on their favorite show. At least they had good cable, but I was looking forward to catching up on some shows at night once the kids were down and wasn't able to :/
