"The facilities and location were ok, but the cats made our stay a nightmare."

The hotel has a policy of no pets. However, we found several cats all over all places. Since my wife could not stand them, we left. They would not refund our remaining nights.

The beach, the pool and the staff were super

The menu was shallow. Zanzibar has generally few activities to do.

Friendly and helpful staff, especially at the bars. I have a temerity to say: one of the best services at the bars I have ever experienced. Fantastic cocktails. Very nice and quiet location. New hotel, big rooms. Silent air conditioning. Spanish persons who run the restaurant were extremely friendly and competent.

Slow internet what affects TV (but better than in other hotels in Tanzania). I would like to have a softer bed. Asking deposit for towels is quite ridiculous at 5 star hotel. But these are marginal factors not overweighting the good stay.
