"Excellent hotel in this interesting city"

You can never be sure what you're going to get staying in a chain hotel although we have always been satisfied with the Mercure's we have stayed in - Bourges and Montauban. The Mercure in Troyes was excellent in all ways. The welcome was friendly and all the staff we had contact with were helpful. Parking in their secure underground car park was good value at 12 euros a night and is attached to the hotel. The reception, bar and restaurant are all in one space on the ground floor and were bright and comfortable. We had booked one of their larger rooms as the price was only nine euros more (worth joining the Accor club for discounts), and was on the second floor with a small balcony. The room was clean, bright and well furnished and the walk-in shower was great with lots of hot water and good pressure. The bed was really comfortable and the pillows soft which is not always the case in France where some of them resemble paving stones in a cotton case !!. A perfect overnight stay on our way back to London and will definitely stay here again. We didn't have breakfast here as there is a branch of our favourite French chain bakery Florette in the town centre about 8 minutes walk away.

"Fantastische 2 daagse"

De kamer was heel mooi en proper, prima bed en douche was top. Ook geen last van lawaai. Vriendelijk personeel. Ontbijt was uitgebreid en varieerde ook wat, dus leuk dat er wat nieuwe dingen stonden bij de 2e ochtend. Ligging was ook prima. Rustig gelegen, maar op 5 minuutjes stappen sta je in het centrum.

Alles was prima, ik kan geen negatieve punten vermelden. Een aanrader op alle vlakken.

"Very comfortable, well presented hotel, well worth a stay"

Excellent secure parking, clear instructions on how to access the garage in advance. Breakfast this morning was superb. Very well stocked self service buffet. Good value. To top it all I had an email after we had left to let me know that we had unfortunately left something in the safe. I’m delighted that the chambermaid found my jewellery roll and handed it in. Thank you to Hafida.
