My stay at this hotel was disappointing due to poor room condition, repeated billing errors, and a lack of clear communication from staff. The room fittings and furnishings were noticeably worn and in need of maintenance. On arrival, the bed was made with what appeared to be only a doona cover and a mattress liner being used as sheets. It gave the impression that the room had either not been properly prepared or that staff were not adequately trained. This hotel also appears to be a popular stop for large tour groups, so be prepared for breakfast to be extremely crowded on some mornings. To the kitchen staff’s credit, they handled the volume of guests as well as they could under very busy conditions. Unfortunately, that was one of the few positives from my experience. The biggest issue was the billing. I was charged not once, but three times. In addition to the original payment, a second charge for the full amount appeared, followed by another unexplained charge for approximately half of the original booking value. When I raised these concerns with the hotel, I received no clear explanation despite multiple attempts to resolve the matter. Three weeks later, I have been forced to escalate the issue through Booking.com and provide bank statements to prove the duplicate charges. Despite doing so, I am still waiting for a resolution or meaningful response. Based on the poor room condition, lack of communication, and ongoing billing issues, I would not stay here again.
