"Fabulous hotel and the number one spot in Penang"

Lovely buildings and the staff were great. We really enjoyed our stay. We had a balcony room and it was very comfortable - roomy and a fabulous bathroom. The breakfast buffet was amazing. Also enjoyed the pool.

"Old world charming with a great location and fantastic local guide"

The E&O is a beautiful, old world hotel in a great location. There are lots of food options and the breakfast buffet at Starkies has every type of food you could want.The infinity pool is amazing! The E&O introduced us to the best part of our trip, Zul, our driver/guide . My husband and I spent 3 fun days in George Town and needed a local guide to show us around and explain a bit about local life. Zul was very friendly, honest and flexible to our needs, especially when it came to coping with the heat. He took us on two half day tours, as well as to the airport in his cool, clean comfortable vehicle. Zul made us feel like old friends, not just tourists. It's a very big hotel with two wings and while it is beautiful, we felt a bit anonymous and didn't connect with any of the staff. There wasn't a games room and the lounge in the Heritage wing didn't open until 12noon. Given it rained on several days, a pool table would have been handy.

"Trevligt och fin miljö"

Miljön, särskilt i heritage-delen.

Man får rabatt i bar och restauranger vilket är trevligt. Efter att ha checkat ut upphör det vilket är väldigt tråkigt. Vi väljer att stanna på hotellet och äter middag innan vi tar ett sent flyg. Det känns väldigt snålt när personalen säger att de tyvärr inte kan ge någon rabatt. Blir småsnålt och tråkigt sista intryck från en väldigt positiv upplevelse.
